"If Saturday’s game is called off it will be the first time City have had a ‘home’ match postponed in 17 years, the last time being an FA Cup tie with Woking at Highfield Road that fell victim to snow in January 1997.
The Ricoh Arena has never had a game postponed."
Don't remind me. I was all set to go to the Norwich match on the 18th December at the Ricoh a few years ago and watched in horror as it began to snow so much that the place I was staying at with a mate got cut off by road. Couldn't see to drive safely anyway so we're not going to make it, took consolation in the fact that the match will likely be cancelled. Switch on CWR and they're cheerfully reporting that the game is still on, so we sat listening to the wireless instead of going to the Ricoh - Should have called it off as we ended up losing.
@ steveo1987.............................Your posts 2-6-and 9....All giving the impression that you prefer Sixfields to the Ricoh.
Ok, now imagine Sisu moved us from a ground which wasn't affected by rain to Bramall Lane. Is it just bad luck or the fact that we shouldn't be in a place that shuts down when it drizzles?

I was right! NYD on 2002 v Rotherham.
That seems to show a puddle on the path in the corner of the ground
Blame it on the boogie ?
The Arena 2000 stuff on there is interesting, isn't it?

That just shows the lack of reality at the time.
I know you may not agree, but to me we are lucky to have ended up with the Ricoh after our owners at the time f$cked up so much. Our club has been amongst the worst run for too many years now, and every time I think it can't get worse............
Oh for the days that I got pissed off with the nearly yearly relegation battle. Looking at the other teams and thinking that any of their bench would walk into our first team. Now I would be happy to have enough players to make up a squad where all positions were covered and playing in Coventry.
Random question, if a team moved into the Ricoh, be it Nuneaton, Rugby, Leicester or somebody random. Would people then begin to support them?

Astute, I do agree. I've never said the club were blameless.

If the pitch is that rough already, then it's going to be knackered by the end of Feb with two teams playing on it. That certainly isn't going to help our style of football, and it probably doesn't help in terms of injuries either.
I doubt this was given any real consideration by our owners, but I suspect it will become an issue on the playing side.
