If he just did the basics like tracking back and putting his foot in he’d get a lot more latitude (look at Max!)

It's not even he's not up to standard. It's that he doesn't try then acts like it's everyone else letting him down.Coming into the season Shipley was a certain starter for me given some of his performances the last couple of years. However his standards this year at times has been nothing short of pathetic. I can’t remember the last time a Cov player made me physically so frustrated I could punch something.
I think he’s just not at this standard based on this year and wouldn’t be shocked to see him leave this summer.
Criticising a player for genuine reasons isnt running with the crowd. Scoring a deflected goal doesnt change the many problems Shipley has. So we had walker who was utterly atrocious today and completely ignored, yet we have yet another thread about the guy who scored. Might not be good enough, that's an opinion but it really is like Groundhog Day.
