I'm guessing it's going to be an hour of someone telling us everything we do is tracked and everyone is trying to manipulate us to buy something/think a certain way?
There is much of that yeah.I'm guessing it's going to be an hour of someone telling us everything we do is tracked and everyone is trying to manipulate us to buy something/think a certain way?
Saw the first hour. It's worth sitting with your teenage kids ( if they can last an hour plus without checking their phones, ironically) and getting them to watch this. What an utterly depressing future some kids who already spend too much time on their phones are going to have on the back of this. But it's nothing we don't already see happening.
We are in the age when everyone wants to be someone rather than actually do something .
The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

An industrial midfielder.Ahh...so wise.......and a beautiful midfielder too
If you're looking foryou'd be better off pouting for your mates on your Instagram account.
Not really. Dont understand the relevance of your Socrates quote in the context of the programme. You clearly haven't even seen it . But no doubt you'll say you have. You are a funny one. I’m a bit too old and a lot too ugly to have an insta.
Was a (paraphrased) quote from Socrates in 400BC. The kids are alright. You however, are clearly desperately in need of a hug.
Ha earlier than I thought .You are a funny one. I’m a bit too old and a lot too ugly to have an insta.

An industrial midfielder.
Alan Dugdale was an industrial midfielder.Really? Tbf I'm basing it purely on the 1982 world cup team when I was a 10/11 year old kid......and from those rose tinted memories, every one of that brazil team was a beautiful player....
You're not the only one.Ha earlier than I thought .
Thought it might have come from the Victorian era Lol.
Edit:- Reece Mogg,IDS.
Alan Dugdale was an industrial midfielder.
Yes ! Entirely my fault . Both had a moustache that's where I got a bit confused and where any similarity ends.Ah ha. I see. Thats surely the only time in history Alan Dugdale has been mixed up with Socrates. Ha.
I’ve just finished watching it and this is the thing that stood out for me. Society is getting so much more polarised and it’s no wonder.Well worth a watch (not sure about the drama/story bit though) Probably not a huge amount we didn’t already know/think was happening but pretty startling when former senior employees confirm it !!!
There’s an really interesting element where Roger McNammee talks about people operating in their own little bubbles/news feeds, in which only the same views and opinions are shared, so it becomes fact in their minds. It goes on to mention that this is one of the reasons we are becoming so polarised in society with people not listening or accepting or even willing to debate others views, as they have basically been brainwashed into thinking what they believe can’t be wrong. Very unhealthy (even before the fact it can lead to manipulation)
Alan Dugdale was an industrial midfielder.
Exactly. Right in the middle. He was a centre half!
