Sounds like the inspiration for the Jarni deal.
As I said, it's all in the narrative. To placade a lurking PWKH whenever he passes by, I'll happily point out when Derek Higgs died, his obituaries were big on his integrity within business which would suggest your narrative here is closer to the accurate one.
But it often seems a little lazy to say 'ripping off a poor charity' to me. As you say, if they haven't done well out of any deals, they were arguably ripped off by those you mention when they got involved... and thus SISU offering values that don't get their money back isn't SISU doing the ripping off, but those who were there before... while SISU coldly offer market value!
Higgs are only half of ACL. So only half of the loan is attributed to the Higgs share. But you either knew this or don't have a clue what is going on.
The day the court system is judged on RFC's posting habits is the day I beg you to find me a job in Kiel and I get the hell out this country!
so, what is it today Grendal, the loan a good money making move for the council, but they wont share it with tax payers, or a bad money making move ?
I'm just confused as you seem to flick between the two
Its not me that doesn't know what's going on.
As I understood it the valuation was for the whole of ACL. Its not me that doesn't know what's going on.

Oh and if you want the happy thoughts, the happy thoughts are that such people are undoubtedly out there.
You like using the battered wife analogy however and it's a similar thing, just because it's shit now doesn't mean we have to jump into bed with the first Texan property developer who flutters his eyelashes at us. We need the strength to say no until our life partner comes on the horizon!
Do I need to say again that I have no particular want for PHIV to take over?
I don't trust anyone that isn't a fan and wants to own a football club. Fans are by definition insane and therefore could have decent motives, everyone else has some kind of angle. It's finding the one that is least objectionable to our own wishes that's the trick. That might be PHIV, it might be Byng, hell it might even be Sisu if we ever find out what they're plans are past getting a ground to play in.
Unless we're getting an arab billionaire desperate to use a League 1 team to promote his airline (or I win the Euromillions), we're probably going to have to compromise somewhere. Would be nice to have that discussion before a new owner takes the keys mind.
