how powerful are they? Surely the combined might of usa and syrian airstrikes should be enough to stop them, it seems wherever they go people run for the hills.
The catalyst for the last retreat by Iraqi forces was a series of suicide bombs. That's pretty intimidating stuff when you are being attacked by a force that actually relishes death. Personally I think we should leave well alone and put our efforts into preventing a Paris style attack here
Should have left well alone a long time before. As soon as western forces started to mess in iraq and afghanistan it left a void which was filled by militants. There was a reason why the islamic countries were run by Dictators and it was to keep a lid on this sort of uprising. More blood on Blairs hands.
A lot of the army personnel in Iraq etc are just names rather than actual people and the money is cashed in. Add to that next to no training and as soon as Isis show up it's scarper time.
They base themselves on Ghengis Khans Mongol warriors who won battles even before entering countries through their ruthless reputation.Psychology methods as people would brick it and flee and they just took over. But the mongols were ruthless and were the first army to completely wipe out an enemy no prisoners. Hard to fight such a ferocious army.
It's not our war. The only reason we see it is when a westerner goes there and is captured. The west could destroy them in an instance but are in essence are a western creation. Same as Bin Laden who single handed was used by America to distract from domestic issues and their defence spending, even though he was a hermit. America's economy is picking up so they don't need a distraction but wait and see what happens when election time comes around.
