Have to say that i really like the 'retro' kit, and it's been a huge seller as per CCFC.
So are they going to go back to 'crap' kits from next year as planned ?
Or should they keep this style ?

It's risky calling the old Kits crap around here. I have to say that I really like it too and it's the first shirt I have bought this century. I understand that the retro look is just due to the memorial of the jimmy Hill years, hopefully though we can have something similar next season.

i really like the new shirt and hope they keep the idea going...my only issue is the lettering and numbers on the backs of our players shirt are not very clear...maybe from where i was sitting on saturday it was a bit far away....must admit my eyes are crap :):)

IMHO most 'recent' kits were of poor quality and the designs werent great....hence poor sales.

I just love seeing us in all sky blue; you don't see Liverpool messing around with dark shorts / stripes do you? We're the sky blues for pete's sake!

I've gotta say I really like it, though my fiance disagrees - hates the collar.
I think we should stick with sky blue and a dark blue or white trim - which should be an add on, not the main colour

Yeah this is my first kit in the best part of 10 years and I do love it but for me we should be sky blue and white strips. I'm also not a massive fan of round necks. I prefer the pole shirt style.

It's the first kit I've bought in 10 years - I think it looks top class. Really like the retro badge and neat, simple design. I quite like the idea of a 25th anniversary design next year. Would clinging onto our only piece of notable silverware in that way make us a bit of a laughing stock though?

P.S. Just jointed SBT from following GMK. Seems much friendlier on here.

we should never have striped shirts again. stripes are rubbish. The current kit is the best since the famous Admiral strip from the late 70s.

Had a short one off the cops regarding that complaint, wanted my address and number which they got. Mumford also wrote a top letter and got the same reply.

The Ricoh one was on out of office with a 7 day waiting period for a reply, so unless the Ricoh gets burnt down next week I'll be sending more to get a reply I imagine.

I agree, no stripes again ever. Like someone else has said, we're the Sky Blues, not the Sky Blues with a little bit of white in! Love the kit and we should definitely keep to this formula. I also feel that the Ricoh Arena has taken away a lot of our identity and we won't get that back till we actually do something again but having a strip that is fully sky blue and made in the image of a kit from 50 years ago gives the team that little bit of an image and identity that's been lacking for a fair few years now.

They'll definitely change it next year, but the success of this one might result in us going retro again. Of course, eventually history can only repeat itself so far and then we're back here:

jesus that was a crap kit. I seem to remember Norwich having a yellow and green version which was truly hideous.

A terrifying prospect. Have to admit I owned this one - I plead childish ignorance as an excuse though. I agree with the rants about keeping the kit all sky blue.

The red away version was amazingly even worse. When people talk about these being lowest times as a Cov fan, just show them that season's kit selection (not if they're epilectic though).

Alan Green is a tosser! Loves Utd, doesn't care much for anyone else and doesn't hide it very well. Tries to be controversial but all he ends up being is an annoying moron who doesn't know anything outside the top 4! Glad they seem to have got rid of him for the most part on 5 live now.

HI,
You may not be old enough to remember but in the 1960's there were no players names on shirts or sponsors name allowed so I think that is why they are 'grayed out' so to speak - I think it makes it look very orthentic and unique and I would love us to do so well in it - PUSB

I had that kit, was late 90's as it had the 'bubble' on the back for a number. Same season we had that lovely dark blue stripes that faded as they went up. Anyway, that purple and yellow one after only a fwe weeks they started selling them really cheap and with a free tracksuit top as nobody would buy it.

I went to that game...lee hurst scored a screamer and we stuffed Blackburn out of site....the post game talk by alan green was the most one sided and biased piece of journalism i'd ever heard, and there was uproar on the coach

Not sure this is quite what you're looking for but it's the closest I've come across

Dislike the shirt. Rubbish collar, rubbish sleeves and at my age I have no connection to the badge. First shirt I haven't bought in 5 years.

It's a retro kit, for one year, so I'll live with it...but similar again next year and I'll be quite unhappy. The older supporters will obviously love the thing as they can reminisce but me and the other lads I've spoke to about it of my age group all say the same and the comment mentioned is "won't buy something that looks so outdated".
