I was at the charity game and if Elliott was getting worshiped it completely passed me by. I didn't even know he was there until you just mentioned it
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but a 250 year wasn't arranged but it couldn't have been that bad an investment for Sisu to want to take it on.
Do you know 100% that CCC wouldn't have sold to us if Sisu had done the honourable thing and actually bought Higgs but rather than backing out and trying to sue the arse off people (including threatening it's own fans).
I know 100% that buying CCC's shares were never on offer - it's something that definitely would have been revealed in the court cases.
You see you can only be 100% sure if you work for CCC or Sisu in which case wouldn't you be a plant. Otherwise it is only opinion (despite you trying to flower it up as fact) and as recent events have shown, CCC would've been willing to sell to a party who were straight up, to the point and willing to do proper business.
How come my argument is flawed when I put in brackets that it is other people who have said that it went for peanuts. I myself have no idea of the details of Wasps deal or the true value of the whole thing so maybe you should take issue with the people who say it went for peanuts, problem is Godiva, they are usually the people who you agree with and you share you little likes with.
You know for sure that Sisu's only option is to build and new stadium and sell as a package, how come? What if that new stadium is 10 miles outside the cities boundary and the current 8k home attendance is cut by half and that is generous seeing as the attendances at Sixfields were around 1600. With the debt around £13 million (according to you) and then a further £30 million with stadium costs, exactly how long would it take for a potential investor to see a return with such a low attendance and FFP causing even less funding for the team than we get now (and look how good we are at present), not even a bunch of thick fuckers like Sisu would take that on. No stadium gets used 365 days a year so forget that red herring and a pisspot stadium out in the middle of nowhere has got no chance compared to the Ricoh.
What if Ms Seppala wasn't telling the truth about investors (I mean, Sisu employees and truth is sketchy, isn't it?) so if it isn't true what happens to the debt then?
We also know that despite Ms Seppala (as you seem to like calling her that) saying that she would never come back to the Ricoh under a rental deal, she obviously is prepared to do a complete u turn when it's best for her. With that in mind and even you admitting that they may need to write off some debts, why not just sell a couple of players in January for a quick return of some cash and then write off £13 million in debt and sell for as much as they can get, at least then they haven't built up way more debt with the stupid new stadium idea and they are free. This whole new stadium plan is great if you are willing to see it through and know your business. Sisu are not willing to see the plan through because we are no further on than 7 years ago and in fact further back and they certainly do not know the business we all know as football as proved by each and every stupid mistake they make (and keep making).
I think that you are incredibly naive to think that there is any prospect of "open dialogue" with SISU, ever. These leopards do not change their spots. I will never forgive them for what they have done to my club under their tenure and I find it frankly insulting that any fan thinks that we should just forget that abuse.
Constantly protesting? There's been nothing since we returned to The Ricoh. Is everything all hunky dory now? Are they running the club any better? Are they ****. The "fan's representatives" being hand-picked SISU sympathisers was possibly the greatest slap in the face yet. We should have been protesting more than we have, not less.
So you are telling me they haven't been on the hill giving it the whispers? They didn't make an offer for a quid? Mr coventry wasn't going to be chairman if haskell came in and part fan ownership, that rental offer from Michael had nothing to do with Hoffman?
Not to mention the sickening way elliott was worshiped at that charity game.
Yeah ok then..
Reward my loyalty, it's you going to meet them every ten minutes..
Maybe you should step back and see how obvious it looks everytime somebody says local businessman who it is and what's happening rather than just defending anybody who says sisu are bad until the death, just remember that while mr coventry might be a hero or legend because he sings sisu out and that's the done thing, he was the one driving round taking shares off people. Oh and wanting to close the academy...
Never saw him on the hill and talking of hero worship stand back and look at yourself.
As for meeting with bullshit Fisher those days arr long gone wasted to many hours of my life listen to his shit leave it to you lot to take in and cream over.
Wilson skied over from twenty yards, something watched by twenty or so City fans including Gary Hoffman, on the hill behind the East Stand, before the half ended.
You mean when he was announced onto the pitch via the speakers and people did the worship actions? He was unveiled like we had just signed messi.
Then people wanting to get close to him....

There's only one joe elliott....
When he came out on the pitch, it is not an exaggeration when I say worshipping...People were sadly enough..
You must have gone for a shit or see things differently
It was one of the strangest things I have seen. It was like he was one of those healers who make people walk again the way people with kids were running over to him like he was going to save their lives and stuff.
Then again, he did sing SISU out so that automatically gives him legend status (even though he brought them in).
That is my point about fans being easily swayed and not being able to see irony.

PROTEST on 12/01/15
Our group which has been formed only 5 days ago has been delighted and amazed at the interest we have raised through different avenues with the fans and media . We have been inundated with ideas and suggestions, most of which are excellent.
Our aim however is to get a clear message out to the club owners via the live Sky TV coverage and other attending media.
We therefore feel that it could be best served by one targeted message at a certain point in the game but ideally for the whole 90 minutes , if fans really want to back us then this can really can happen and would be a huge statement from us to SISU and even the football league
We do recognise however that this will almost certainly be the last live TV coverage we receive this season so appreciate that others will want to show their concern at our clubs current plight in different ways , but in saying that if we are all on the same protest in the same area of the ground then we feel that will be a much bigger and stronger protests then smaller individual ones respectively but we also have to respect everyone's opinions and choices.
We would strongly urge all fans from season ticket holders to NOPM fans to all unite together this once on the night to send a clear message to SISU that we want answers, we want the truth an to let them know that they can send out as many statements and 5 point plans as much as they want each year because we all know that they are all know are LIES
A MASS amount of fans are backing us and the media want to back us to so please come and join us and make this a protest that every single person can be proud of being a part of !
The club are already making noises towards us so we are already having an effect
Keep on sharing our info please
We have a lot to do today so there will be more from us later thank you#pusb
So what's the protest? Why not unite to get behind the team to get a win?
Because the aim is to get sisu out for coventry businessmen who are waiting to buy us...Haven't got time to read all the thread. Are Mr Hoffman and Mr Elliot behind this protest. If not what does it have to do with them?
So you are telling me they haven't been on the hill giving it the whispers? They didn't make an offer for a quid? Mr coventry wasn't going to be chairman if haskell came in and part fan ownership, that rental offer from Michael had nothing to do with Hoffman?

There are two sides of the loans. The investors side where they are an asset and the SBS&L side where they are a liability. On the investors side any auditor would long ago have demanded the loans written off as there is no realistic prospect of ever getting the money back. On the SBS&L side it's different. There is no legal obligation to eliminate the debts from the books (and btw a large portion of that debt is not even loans from sisu investors, but old debt from before sisu came in). By keeping the debt in the books they actually have a tax asset - they can use it later to minimize tax on any profit they get.
Because if the team win - and God forbid keeps winning - eventually there won't be much purpose in forcing out the owners.
I think you may have that wrong, I thought the original debt to the old board was written off after the 'insolvency event' but it is likely that the bulk of the remaining book debt is the original SISU money which will have been written off. The 'real debt' as you point out is whatever ARVO have put in (phase 2 investor after it all went wrong first time).
Isnt this a good thing????
Red Card the best ... a sheet of A4 bright red copy paper cut to size given out before the match to be shown at xxx time.
What's the plan?Like that idea and its peaceful, however it will not be seen by TV Cameras as the main area that would hold them up is near scoreboard and they will be behind them.
What's the plan?
What's the plan?
Because the aim is to get sisu out for coventry businessmen who are waiting to buy us...
Do we know who the Coventry Businessmen are?
Do we know who the Coventry Businessmen are?
Derek Richardson is said to be one of them
Not if you want to mobilize the sisu out campaign rel 2.0.
Do we know who the Coventry Businessmen are?
Actually they are running things a lot better. Even returning to the Ricoh. Financies are under better control and an academy working successfully to name a few of those things they are doing better. Maybe you have been under a rock the whole time?
What utter shite. Nothing has changed since the return to The Ricoh-name what has changed about the academy or finances since then? You can't, as you made it up to suit your pro-SISU worldview. No point having an academy asnyway as SISU just sell them as soon as we get a bid and the money is never re-invested in the playing side.

You accuse sisu of not being able to 'change their spots' and at the same time proudly say you won't ever change yours. Isn't it actually the case that because you are unable to change your spots you firmly believe nobody else is?
Sisu have changed their spots a few times - or rather their strategy has changed. First when they finally got rid of Ranson/Elliott/Hoffman and started the long journey of getting cost and revenue balanced. Next when they finally entered negotiations into buying a stake in ACL. Latest when they returned the club to the Ricoh.
I do agree 100% that they hand-picked the wrong representatives to the board. Stupid move!
What tripe. Bu then you've been doing their PR for a good 3years or so now, haven't you?
You're trying to make out that me not forgiving SISU is the same as them not changing their spot's re: having an open dialogue with the fans? No: in my case, it is a case of having principles, anger and passion. I will never forgive them because what they have done is unforgiveable-and it's further evidence that you have never been a Coventry City fan that you so patronisingly think I should. Them not having a dialogue with fans is not because of principles :it's because they really don't give a shit about us and their main priority is to mislead us and keep us in the dark as much as possible.
I also won't forgive SISU because they have done absolutely nothing-nada, zilch, zero-to merit forgiveness. They may have changed "strategy" a few times, but in no way have they improved their behaviour or treated the supporter's with a modicum of respect.
You're right. The team cost nothing. All money coming in are poured into sisu's deep pockets. They have stripped the club for £30m or more over the years and spent them all on parties in the Caribbean.
Soon they will follow your advice and sell the academy as well. It's costing £1m more per year than they receive in grants. We know it's just a matter of time before they sell it but somehow manage to keep receiving the grants. All it takes is to invite some more influential people to the yacht paradises in Belize or Bahamas or Cayman.
You're even right about nothing has changed since they returned us to the Ricoh. Hell, I can go one better - nothing has changed since yesterday!
Pretty sure they didnt think to take over a football club to mislead the fans for shits and giggles. I'd say its more money related.
