It was one of the strangest things I have seen. It was like he was one of those healers who make people walk again the way people with kids were running over to him like he was going to save their lives and stuff.

Then again, he did sing SISU out so that automatically gives him legend status (even though he brought them in).

That is my point about fans being easily swayed and not being able to see irony.

There are two sides of the loans. The investors side where they are an asset and the SBS&L side where they are a liability. On the investors side any auditor would long ago have demanded the loans written off as there is no realistic prospect of ever getting the money back. On the SBS&L side it's different. There is no legal obligation to eliminate the debts from the books (and btw a large portion of that debt is not even loans from sisu investors, but old debt from before sisu came in). By keeping the debt in the books they actually have a tax asset - they can use it later to minimize tax on any profit they get.

Sisu have changed their spots a few times - or rather their strategy has changed. First when they finally got rid of Ranson/Elliott/Hoffman and started the long journey of getting cost and revenue balanced. Next when they finally entered negotiations into buying a stake in ACL. Latest when they returned the club to the Ricoh.

I do agree 100% that they hand-picked the wrong representatives to the board. Stupid move!

PROTEST on 12/01/15
Our group which has been formed only 5 days ago has been delighted and amazed at the interest we have raised through different avenues with the fans and media . We have been inundated with ideas and suggestions,most of which are excellent.
Our aim however is to get a clear message out to the club owners via the live Sky TV coverage and other attending media.
We therefore feel that it could be best served by one targeted message at a certain point in the game but ideally for the whole 90 minutes , if fans really want to back us then this can really can happen and would be a huge statement from us to SISU and even the football league
We do recognise however that this will almost certainly be the last live TV coverage we receive this season so appreciate that others will want to show their concern at our clubs current plight in different ways , but in saying that if we are all on the same protest in the same area of the ground then we feel that will be a much bigger and stronger protests then smaller individual ones respectively but we also have to respect everyone's opinions and choices.
We would strongly urge all fans from season ticket holders to NOPM fans to all unite together this once on the night to send a clear message to SISU that we want answers, we want the truth an to let them know that they can send out as many statements and 5 point plans as much as they want each year because we all know that they are all know are LIES
A MASS amount of fans are backing us and the media want to back us to so please come and join us and make this a protest that every single person can be proud of being a part of !
The club are already making noises towards us so we are already having an effect
Keep on sharing our info please

You're right Hoffman was on the hill a couple of time I personally have never spoken to the guy. Can't remember if Elliott ever went have spoken to the guy twice total time probably two minutes. You're right did see our beloved owners every ten minutes to try to get the idiots to see sense that didn't work so won't be seeing them again,the one thing that I've never done and will never do is to stop fighting them I know it's irrational because one day they could come good but you might see that day I certainly won't.

I think you may have that wrong, I thought the original debt to the old board was written off after the 'insolvency event' but it is likely that the bulk of the remaining book debt is the original SISU money which will have been written off. The 'real debt' as you point out is whatever ARVO have put in (phase 2 investor after it all went wrong first time).

True - a big chunk of the debt was written off by ccfc ltd when that company went into liquidation, but how much of that was owed to SBS&L where it may still sit in the books?

Many keep branding the huge debt 'the club' is in not realizing the club is now owned by Otium and the current debt is around £13m. There are too many myth in the debate - another fine example is the 'management fee', but it's really down to poor communication from club owners and management, who really should try to explain in more details the financials of the club. Instead we have to rely on forensic auditing by OSB trying to get to grips with the ins and outs.

Soon they will follow your advice and sell the academy as well. It's costing £1m more per year than they receive in grants. We know it's just a matter of time before they sell it but somehow manage to keep receiving the grants. All it takes is to invite some more influential people to the yacht paradises in Belize or Bahamas or Cayman.

You're trying to make out that me not forgiving SISU is the same as them not changing their spot's re: having an open dialogue with the fans? No: in my case, it is a case of having principles, anger and passion. I will never forgive them because what they have done is unforgiveable-and it's further evidence that you have never been a Coventry City fan that you so patronisingly think I should. Them not having a dialogue with fans is not because of principles :it's because they really don't give a shit about us and their main priority is to mislead us and keep us in the dark as much as possible.

I also won't forgive SISU because they have done absolutely nothing-nada, zilch, zero-to merit forgiveness. They may have changed "strategy" a few times, but in no way have they improved their behaviour or treated the supporter's with a modicum of respect.

It's hard to tell if you're being sarcastic or not...."the team cost nothing"? Where did I say that it did (although in terms of transfer fees, aside from Barton, that is of course correct). Of course, they are paying wages and signing on fees-but not more than should be the budget for a team our size with our gates. Are you trying to imply that they are "propping us up"? I think we could have made up the shortfall between income and costs for this season from Juke's sell on fee alone without even touching the Wilson, Cyrus or Arsenal money.

As for the academy-that's their biggest income generator. Wilson alone raised enough to pay your supposed £1m extra per year for the next 3 and a half years. They'd been even dumber than I think if they are considering getting rid of such a nice little earner.

Selling youth players to get by is quite a common business model in the lower leagues apparently according to the Secret Footballer, in his book he was looking at getting involved with a football club. It doesn't sound like the club was us though.

Who was it on about getting rid of the Academy before?
