McSheff is a Striker, not a midfielder. Thorn played him wide in midfield(Out of position imo)....Apparently, we are overrun in midfield this year, so take your pick mate
As for our options being "Incredibly limited".....Who's fault is that?...SISU for not supplying Thorn with financial backing? or Thorn himself for not picking the right players to come to Coventry?(After all, every player at CCFC was brought in by him)
Mcsheffrey has not been played as a striker since Eric Black was manager 2003-04 season. His best spell and the one that got him his big money move under Adams he was played on the left wing (scowcroft right wing, Dele and John up top), he moved to Birmingham and was their top scorer getting promotion playing left wing (Bendtner and Jerome played up top), his loan spell to Leeds - left wing, and return to Coventry under Boothroyd - Left wing.
He has played left wing/midfield for the last 8 seasons.

Told in August 2009 that he was free to find another club,[12] and frustrated by lack of opportunity,[13] McSheffrey made one start and four substitute appearances in the 2009–10 Premier League[14] before joining Leeds United on loan. In May 2010, Birmingham City announced that McSheffrey would be released when his contract expired at the end of June.[15] [edit] Leeds United (loan)
On 29 January 2010, McSheffrey joined Leeds United of Football League One on loan for the remainder of the season, in which he made 10 apps.
Approx 80 apps in 4 years....a bit on the crap side, wouldn't you say?

Last season I would have played Hussey left midfield, and Wood at left back. McSheff playing off (Wait for it)...........Platt. That is when he hadn't chipped a finger nail and had to have the next 2 games out till it grew back.
