Loads of managers would come here. The out of work ones are always desperate to have another crack. I think getting a new manager would be easy, it's getting the right one that always seems difficult.
Depends if we have money to spen on his wages
That is the gamble though isn't it.
They could either be amazing or awful.
There's an old saying that "You reap what you sow"...& a lot of people think that consistency is what brings success in football. If you put them together, CCFC have consistently changed their management every 18-24months & we have been reaping the consequences throughout the post cup era.
There is just no credibility to this idea. What resounding evidence is there that managers get better the longer they are in the chair? And if the theory is completely wrong, then it can be extremely damaging to stick with a poor, underperforming manager for a long period of time. All they'd be doing is damaging the club.
I agree to the extent that you shouldn't chop and change every two years regardless, but the mistake that the club has made over the past decade is in chopping strong-performing managers (Nilsson, Black) - exactly the types who could have had that five year reign.
But isnt that the game we love...without being pedantic..Chris Powell got the backing from the fans but more than that the RESPECT from the players..what a legend he played for England, for Charlton in the Prem etc etc maybe LC would command the same respect and bring in new ideas as being only recently a member of a very succesful Everton team and a Cov player with the Sky Blues at heart???
Why can everybody not see what AT has done, the worst stats for any Coventry manager of all time. He is NOT a manager, he has to go, but he is a yes man for SISU so he will be there to the end of the season. We will stay in Div 1 and that will be classed by AT as a great year. My thoughts, AT AND SISU out
Tbf to him, none of the goals were his fault today, players weren't tired, just individual mistakes. He was somewhat at fault for what happened, after their equaliser.
It is clear AT's aim is promotion, not to stay in L1.
Yeah sack thorn and give all the anti thorn posters one game in charge each to turn our fortunes around

Thorn won the FA cup Wimbledon, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that one of the true underdog stories in FA cup history?
That commands respect and again, I stand to be corrected, but I'm fairly sure Shaw nor Carsley have won the FA cup?
I think it's just Powell is a good manager which has gained him respect than being a top player.
Huddersfield did it with Clark and came very close!
I believe it all apart from the Indian sweet centre. Who the hell would eat in that rat infested doss hole
11pm and Andrew Thorn is still the manager of Coventry City Football Club
I think we may have to take a gamble, Norwich did it with Lambert, Charlton did it with Powell, Huddersfield did it with Clark and came very close!
I've just seen Dennis Wise and Vinny Samways tucking into a Chicken Bhuna at the Standard Sweet Centre on Foleshill Road. Word is they had just had a few beers in the General Wolfe and were on their way to the Ricoh to sort everything out.
You heard it here first.
What do you mean 'apparently'?Apparently, Stevenage is literally it. Last chance saloon.
And if he goes, it's defo Shaw and Carsley. This is from someone who likes to think they're in the know at club. Not sure how true, but just saying what I heard. This in no way means I believe it or have written proof.
I mean someone who is in and around the board members on match days said in pub. I am only passing on - as I said not saying its gospel. I know as much as I hear. I don't know what anyone else knows.
