I thought AT was a bit delusional with all the recent comments where he has failed to grasp the urgency of our situation and now if true then I think he really is delusional.

We will need more experience in charge not someone still learning. This club will need all the help it can muster to have a decent 'acceptable' season next year or we will be down to a few thousand home fans and that does not mean carrying on with the same mantra.

I watched an old episode of Fawlty Towers the other day. He is the Major. Out of touch, away from reality while the world passes him by.

Though it is also worth adding-he sacked Brendan Rodgers less than a season into his appointment, and Rodgers is now enjoying the high life with Swansea; the end result is that both teams will be playing PL football next season and we're gearing up for a hotly fought derby with Walsall.

The worst thing TO ME about Thorn is his uninspiring way of talking, his inability to try anything different and his perceived lack of discipline and leadership IN MY OPINION. They are the reasons I want a change. I also have not seen this 'best football we've played since relegation'.

If you think we need someone in charge with experience and not someone who is still learing, then why did you start a thread saying we should let Carsley have a go for the last two games of the season to "see what he can do" ?

wanting carsley and rioch for the last two games to freshen it up and see what he will do is not saying appoint them full time next season is it?

On the faulty towers theme definately see basil as sisu. Manuel is whoever takes the crazy option to be their public face. At the moment fisher. Cybil seems to be the hoff waiting in the background playing a wise waiting game. We are the customers who get treated like shit ...... But still come back year after year for more

Got my season ticket as I was always going to. I almost believed we were staying up 3 games ago and do nt shout about going to home and away games
more home than away true ....... but Thorn again I really hope not, He s had a season and a bit he s not good enough as a manager, Im not even convinced he s
a great scout, O donovan , Bell, mcpake (injured), Deegan etc (yes yes Dann Fox etc im sure they d even out), People say he s honest a nice bloke, well so am I,
I would nt have grovelled and let Deluded on the bench, he s had all season to say something and now when hes likely to go he says hes been let down by the non
existant board. He should ve got a back bone a long time ago.

Normally would agree with you but in these circumstances would you not have been better to leave it to the last second to try and turn the screw on SISU so they have to ditch the club. Buying season tickets this early helps them

I will say not. I am thinking that they will probably believe that a 'better' manager would be able to do better in spite of continuing cuts to the quality of playing staff.

HOFF: My understanding is Hoff actually likes Thorn - but is this as a man or manager?

I suspect Thorn realises the game is up - and that was why he finally let his "true" feelings out.

SISU have run the team on the sale of Ranson's 5m company and proceeds from "competing" in the championship. Now that cash cow has gone, then they will be forced to the table (otherwise they will be forced to spend money - as there aren't enough kids to form a full squad!)

I get about 5 or 6 answers about whether or not the board will stand by Thorn and 9 pages of pro Thorn / anti Thorn argument.

Detention for the whole class and 1000 lines each saying 'I must pay attention.'

I might just stick a thread up with the remit 'absolutely no nudity whatsoever' just so I can view 12 pages of tits!!

I think if SISU are around then Thorn will stay too. I can't imagine him demanding higher wages or anything like that and I don't imagine SISU making a rational, informed football decision. The status quo and least amount of work will be their preference I assume.

If there are new leaders (which I doubt, but here's hoping) then I guess they'd spend a bit of money to get some more experience. I do have a sneaking suspicion that Thorn will remain involved in some capacity in this scenario. Perhaps back to his old scout role. Perhaps a coach or assistant or something.

With Thorn on a rolling contract though it wouldn't cost the board a penny to get rid of him would it.

Thorn is an honourable man and I respect him for his tenacity, drive and commitment. He has been through a huge leaning curve during most of this season. I did feel he was beginning to get right in the last 10 games or so. However injuries, the lack of a goal scorer and a paper thin squad did for him and us in the end.

Why let all this expensive training go to waste? I think we should stick with him.

Will the board extend his contract? That depends on who the owners are. If Sisu push off, new owners will probably want their own man. If we don't get new owners and are still run by spivs, then theirs will be a difficult position. If they get rid of AT they would almost certainly have to give 'poor results & relegation' as the reason, thus provoking an outcry about the lack of backing he had. If they keep him on, they can hardly say ' he did a pretty good job considering he had no backing'.

Then again, is Sisu are still here next season, they won't give us any reasons or explanations for their actions.
