I think kilbane was carsley and the frenchies graham carr but the rest have been decent too so far!
Really impressed with jennings!
What would you know about who spotted which player?
People and their agendas eh!

Must admit never heard of Kilbane before Thorn unearthed him!
Barton, Jennings or Fleck well known to you though?
No, did I mention them?
No. Just picked out the bit you wished to use your usual tiring sarcasm with regards; ignoring the primary ambition of the thread which might have actually afforded Thorn a slither of credit for something. Yawn...

Just because Thorn got sacked, doesn't mean EVERYTHING he did was rubbish. He is a really good Scout - and in that capacity, should be at a club above League 1.
I'd heard of Fleck and Barton.
Congratulations. Did you advocate securing their services at any time amongst the hundreds of names as potential targets over the summer?
The reality is, all the summer acquisitions look good. Which is one hell of a hit rate that some - just some - credit should be due. Hence the thread's ambition.
That is to say they look good to date. And if we can draw conclusions with regards the manager so early in the season, then the parameters stand good for the players, don't they?

But I do remember you saying his legs were gone.....even though he hadn't even played for us. You were not alone in saying this. So you thought he was a bad signing that was only going to play a bit part.
Not having a go, but you need to let it go now. You have your wish. AT is gone. You don't have to hover about waiting to have a dig at AT anymore. We all need to get together and get behind whoever gets to be in charge of our club and not bitch about anything in the past. We need to look forward.
I apologise if you didn't, but most that wanted AT out at the time did say similar and you rarely missed the chance to have a go
Barton, Jennings or Fleck well known to you though?
I am sure that most had heard of Barton & Fleck.
Jennings
Edge
Barton
Eliottt
Kilbane
Malaga
and to a lesser extent so far Brown and Ball
He didn't know how to get players to play, but he could certainly spot a good one.
I am sure that most had heard of Barton & Fleck.
Thorn's final gift was the Bury game and that tells you all you need to know about his 18 months as 'manager'.
