if you want a ticket you will get one

They have basically said - go to 1 game this season at sixfields you get a ticket
Season ticket holder for 40 years who wont go to sixfields - tough

has it always been 4 tickets per season ticket? Seems high to me. Why would season ticket holders need more than one ticket anyway, wouldn't you go to an away game with the same people you go to Sixfields with who presumably all have season tickets as well?

Doubt it myself. It will not make me go to Crawley.

I expect to simply go online and purchase two of the 3500 plus tickets still unsold when they go on general sale.

I'm not too sure of the figure but I'm guessing there is about 300 STs max? Thats 1200 tickets if they were all snapped up.

I can't think of any reason why anyone would moan at the priority structure. Also we won't sell out before next Friday; if you want tickets you'll get them.

wasn't really a moan just wondered if they'd put the numbers of tickets per ST up to try and annoy people. I haven't been a ST holder since 1991 / 92 so doesn't really matter to me!

No doubt after all the ticket moaning interest will gather momentum and towards the date more people will want to go and then EBAY !!! yes the profiteers will emerge !!

So the structure is entirely correct to ensure the people who have been to six fields will get a ticket. 8K will go don't worry about that !

Makes sense to me. I thought they'd tie it to the Crawley game for a big crowd, but I bet there's a fair few people who've tried one game here or there, or know someone who has.

I'll wait it out for my chances on general sale by the looks of it. Though I'd buy a Crawley ticket if it looks like silly demand, but I doubt it. Most will just decide to watch on TV.

For smaller quota games, it has been 1 per ST holder.

(Torquay few years back rings a bell)

Then people moan they can't sit with their friends!

4 per ST seems fair under a large allocation, then again, there shouldn't be any ST holders!

The away games in which the club get 0% revenue out of it? Why should they care?

They have given priorities to those whom have given money to the club this season. The way they have done it is 100% correct.

So you agree with the FA giving a large amount of cup final tickets to corporate sponsors I take it? As they give the most money and all?

Yes I do agree with it. They've paid their way so they get the tickets as a gratitude. People have paid to watch City at home, paid for memberships etc so they get first refusal in an order of priority. No difference.

I don't agree with the sponsorship in the first place though. But such is life.

Fair enough. I think days like that (and now, sadly for a team where we are, days like Arsenal for us) come around so rarely that other methods of selection are more "fair" (for want of a better word) personally.

The only other option is to have an away points system (i.e. one point per away game) and do it that way but we don't have and probably will never have the fan base to utilise such a thing.

Maybe if the club got back into the Prem it would happen. Maybe it did happen; how did the club prioritise big away days in the Prem?

Yes, there are plenty of people like you and me that have 40+ years as ST holders that would get no priority on tickets for this game. But in my case I wouldn't go anyway. Had it been last season I probably would have gone, as I was attending all the home games. But I've not been to a game this season and am losing interest with every month that goes by with no football in Coventry. I know a few people who are in the same situation. This is the problem for the future. If we do ever get back to Coventry there will be so few people still interested that even those who went for decades will have moved on.

Think they may move faster than people think by the time you take into account number of tickets you are entitled to buy at each stage of the process. Very nice way of trying to get crowds in by SISU, hope I'm wrong and people don't take the bait and stick to their principles and wait until general sale or by attending facup round previously.
