Think the only good news here is that maybe it will help Cov try and compete on a more even level with Wasps.
If it is to be the city of rugby then we should all be rooting for Cov to be at the forefront.

There is only 1 actual asset isn't there which hasn't been stripped yet?
It would be interesting if Sharpe came out and said straight off there is not going to be a ground share with CCFC.
He is not going to say that is 100% completely ruled out in the event of new owners with whom people can work with.
As I have said half a dozen times the people who run CRFC do not want to enter in to any agreement with our current owners regarding ground share.
I did say a MORE even footing. I don't think they can ever truly compete, but the better Cov do the more the potential for that to hit Wasps attendance figures, with people choosing Cov over the Insects. No chance of that
Surely if he starts spending money and re-doing things he is ruling it out anyway?
I would say the same, but if CRFC get a promotion or 2 they might look at expanding. Any future owners of CCFC might decide that the Ricoh is not go to work and could approach CRFC about a possible new ground with shared construction costs and the benefit of 30 additional lots match day revenue.

Has he said straight out?
(I am not saying I believe there is until he says it, but he hasn't out and out confirmed it is never happening has he?)
It looks as if Sharp is refusing to discuss CCFC, rather than ruling it out which is a bit weird.
Dream on, but I guarantee you will be disappointed.
If there was no chance surely he would say "there is no chance"?
My point was that in an article about Coventry Rugby plans, you would think there would be "Are there any plans at all for a CCFC ground share?" Yes / No / Inbetween.
A fairly stupid mistake. Or was it just ignorance Tony? What next a link to the biggest cities in England when they were actually boroughs?
I think that's a reasonable question, and at least it may (or may not?) confirm what we think he is saying anyway.
Yes, we can read between the lines, but sometimes that's not as accurate as we'd hope.
Not wanting to dirty his hands with it possibly. He seems to be completely dodging it.
No chance of that

Not really considering our owners litigious nature.
People can be sued for saying if something is going on or not at a place he now fully owns?
I didn't mean rule it out as in never ever. I just meant in this instance.
Who knows what will happen in 10 years.
Would you blame him for playing it safe? He hasn't ruled CCFC in, he has however ruled in Cov United men's and ladies, Cov RL and athletics. Do you always have this much trouble taking a hint? Do you need it written in blood or something?
We already knew Cov United were going to play there?
You are using the argument he hasn't ruled them in, he has neither ruled it out.
No, I have learnt over the years of supporting CCFC to take everything with a pinch of salt.
My original point was that he hasn't ruled it out, how many posts later and he still hasn't?
So why did he make the point of not ruling it in then?
That's because unlike SISU...good business people identify and keep open as many options as they can until decisions one way or the other are made. Then then gently close the bridges they aren't going to use...SISU simply burn & runThat's what I'm getting at, he is refusing outright to discuss CCFC rather than confirming one way or another.
Hysteria from people such as yourself perhaps? So why did he make the point of not ruling it in then?
Hysteria from people such as yourself perhaps?
...onwards & upwards PUSB
Oh yeah. I remember that. That's when you claimed one city wasn't a city and after a quick google it turned out it was awarded city status in something like 1888. Was that stupidity or ignorance on your behalf? Surprised you brought that up TBH.
Sharp isn't going to rule anything out. Why should he, it is best to keep options open for crfc not close doors.
The article points to a ground share not happening any time soon. In deed it would seem any planning of the project is hardly off the ground at all.. next season crfc Coventry bears and Coventry utd x2 are all due to play there so could major development as so often discussed on here even start before 2018. Can Ccfc continue with such uncertainty? What seems to be suggested as crfc to start point is fulfilling needs that to me do not look to match the needs of Ccfc.
We will have to wait see what actually get planned. Technically the door to ground share is still open but to me the doubt it will happen has grown.
Bad news?Oh well another piece of bad news for the club. No doubt gave you a hard on for the whole day.
So why did he make the point of not ruling it in then?
