Exactly, and from where I was yesterday it's a bit like villa park. Claret seats with the odd sprinkling of sky blue.
You'll never step inside Sixfields then.
The only time I will step foot inside sixfields is when we are on sky and a mass exodus is planned after 10 minutes.
So why wasn't that arrangeed for yesterday...what part did you play in that idea? Its a good one!
You are right it's not the best way to go at all but surely you realise you personally were a massive part of the problem, you were one of the main reasons for the split and your email ended up in the paper further damaging the hill protest. Yesterday wasn't a lesson, everyone already knew what you just said we learnt.
Sorry to say this because I'm fully aware I'm doing nothing and you are, but while your heart was clearly in the right place, you were trying to prevent bad press because of a little arguing, your "protest" was harmful to a united protest not helpful.

Not sure I agree with the way you express things [jhb] but the sentiment on a few threads from last night/today that there is a need for one fans' voice and one plan I agree with fully, and would agree that yesterday was a good example of why it's needed. I don't see how separation of the Trust and kcic is helping - some people on the hill, some at The Old Shepherd, the Trust promoting Riley's - is that really the best way forward? The next planned kcic initiative is the campaign for an Independent Inquiry. It's been desperately slow getting it to launch stage because kcic has no money, no formal team or organisational structure, it just relies on a network of individuals doing what they can to help. Not ideal!

You might not have massive influence but the telegraph certainly does. I'm not sure if your protest and e-mail came about because Les Reid was acting like a Dick to you on twitter and you unnecessarily tried to prove him wrong or if that was coincidental but he pounced on your e-mail to write an article with the headline being "Sky Blues fans' campaign group set to abandon ‘Jimmy’s Hill’ protests outside Sixfields" "Co-ordinator for the Keep Cov In Cov/Not One Penny More campaign to scrap protest for next ‘home’ game against Sheffield United" how can that long with your competing protest not have harmed unity, harmed the hill protest and divided fans further.
It's a great pity that so many put in so much effort to achieve what?
What's needed by all the so called 'protesters' is a complete re-think.
I'm fortunate that I'm able and can afford to attend Sixfields, yes it's a pain in terms of time and cost but I just want to support Steven Pressley and his exciting squad. Having said that I completely understand that many are for whatever reasons unable to get to Northampton but if you can, I'd urge you to attend as I'm enjoying my football and the style more than for the past 15 to 20 years!
Time to forget all the stupid politics and remember why we attended our first and then subsequent games whether that was at Highfield Road or The Ricoh!
I am not interested in ACL, CCC or SISU or what they have to say, do or don't do, just my team.

Nobel prize winner for literature Elias Canetti wrote a book called 'The Power Of Crowds'...in it he expresses how powerful a group of people can be even if the individulas involved are weak...and obviously the bigger the crowd the more powerful the effect and outcome! So you can have a direct influence on the outcome!!

I can afford to go to Sixfields. I just will not. I will enjoy my football at as many away games as I can.
I agree that a rethink is required. Those that attend Sixfields should consider how the actions of so few (Just how many CCFC fans were there yesterday!) will prolong the agony of many.
Only the very naïve can ignore the role that ACL, CCC SISU et al play in this farce, and it is only through the collective actions of those prepared to stand and be counted will a resolution be found that will work to benefit the many not the few.
There will of course be those that choose to compete in seeing just how deeply they can bury their heads in the sand, whilst the club and the majority of its supporters suffer.
This is more than just 'My team' Its my Club, my City.
The only thing that will return us to the Ricoh is ACL and SISU, firstly talking to each other and secondly coming to an arrangement. All the protesting/boycotting in the world isn't going to make any difference. Might make us feel better and feel like we're doing something but it won't help. Only people can make it happen: Lucas and Seppala.
The thing that gets me is why is it the fans that have to argue, and discuss new ways of protesting, yet the club do not do anything to offer alternatives or reason with people who protest?
For example, I think Tim Fisher should walk up to the hill, during the game, and ask everyone on the hill to come down and come in to the ground for free - to support the team. Obvioulsy he cannot do this every game, but for 1 game it would be a bold move, and 1 which I would respect.
What about offering free travel from the city centre, to sixfields, and with each paying adult a child can go for free.
In my view the club are not doing enough to stop the protests, and to actually get fans to go to sixfields. Another failure on their part.
Agree 100% with this post. As a season ticket holder for virtually 20 years who normally gets at least two phone calls about renewal, I've had nothing this year. The effort made by the club is shocking.
@Torchy (can't find the actual comment): It's CCC not ACL who need to talk, Sisu only want the freehold, not a rental agreement so no point talking to ACL.
