Sorry to upset anybody but I think its time for the 1200 or so fans who go to sixfeilds to stop going now and put an end to this nonsense .if you care about this club you will stop trying your doing the best thing for the club.I have news for you .you are damaging the club by giving these incompetent owners the will to carry on. I strongly believe that if we ALL had done the right thing and let them know that we are Coventry city and ain't having it.by sitting at sixfields you saying its OK.well I tell you its not OK..again I'm sorry if I upset anyone but I needed to say it

It's been said a thousand times mate, its not going to happen. Some would argue the sixfield attendees are helping keep the club going.

Sisu will not come back to Coventry they have clearly stated this, unless they can buy the freehold of the Ricoh, if fans didn't turn up at Sixfields do you think this will make a difference?

And what difference do you think it will make, the only option I see is they would have no choice but to liquidate the club would you prefer this?

I'm glad you've said it. Some people need to think about the long term future of the club over the short term support of the team however frustrating and infuriating the situation is. Brave hearts 'n' all that.

I have my own opinion and my own opinion is that we should all boycott Sixfields games. It is just my opinion though and everyone must make up their own minds.

We cannot demand people don't go, we can't intimidate people into not going. We can discuss the issue sensibly and with strong reasoning, but for me, I think I have already done that ad nauseum and now do not argue the toss with anyone anymore.

If people want to go then it is entirely up to them. They are not scabs or scum, just people who cannot bear to be without their football club.

I personally think this whole thing would be resolved very quickly if no-one attended the next 3 games for instance, but as I say, this has been debated ad nausem and now I think we are past trying to talk people out of going.

Maybe in time they will alter their decision, see things are not moving forwards and will stop attending, but it is entirely their choice and I don't think we should bring any pressure upon fellow fans into making choices.

Without doubt their is no way that the 1200 attending sixfields are keeping the club going. I don't go that's my choice, the attendees will only be covering at most 5 players wages, the rest is going to be coming from ARVO master fund in loans against the club. The thing that makes me laugh is even if we were to get back to the Ricoh in the grand SISU plan as owners then we will be saddled with the debt from the purchase and the time spent at Sixfields. NOPM

Trying to force SISU to go back to the Ricoh under another rental agreement will only get us back to where we started from. We will still be a club with no assets other than the squad, and no other income streams other than ticket sales.

With no assets, SISU will have nothing to sell to any future prospective buyers, and the football club will just continue to plod along under SISU because no one will be willing to take over.

Don't think they would liquidate the club.they have said they want a return on their money.I believe there is a deal to be done on the Ricoh but they want it on the cheap.so what do they do threaten acl/council with a stadium that will never be built.for them to go ahead with it in5 yes would be a total investment of around 80 million including previous alleged losses .how long do you think share holders will wait for return.

Much better we plod along with Byng and £100m of debt than Sisu and £60m. Just like what we've got is better than plodding along with McGinnity, which was better than overspending with Richardson...

When you put it like that perhaps we'd be better off with no club at all.

If CCFC go back to the Ricoh gifted by ACL/CCC then CCFC will still have no assets, but SUSU will.

And we would be back at the Ricoh. Playing in Coventry. I thought that's what people wanted?

For what its worth, I have been but have not been for the last 4 games and wont go again. I always said I would give em a season to sort this mess out but it is clear that this isn't going to happen so I am cutting my losses. For the record, this isn't bowing down to pressure from you lot but after the who JR and stadium debacle I have had enough.

If the players were with the golden share in Ltd we would have had new owners at the Ricoh in the summer.
There was also a chance that these owners could have bought the Ricoh. We will never know.
The only reason we are where we are is because Sisu somehow need to make a profit.
This stops them from letting the club go and hence why some believe we are being held to ransom.

To my mind the handful of supporters still going are not prolonging the situation, enough supporters have stayed away to give SISU some heavy losses and for NOPM to have the desired effect - virtually zero income stream. This will work of course as no business is sustainable without an income and SISU cannot continue to subsidise this in the long run.

What is evident if they only get a handful of fans at games outside the city now then this is likely to continue when they build the new stadium as of course this will also be outside the City. So are they prepared to shell out £20m on a ground where very few are likely to attend? of course not, SISU know this and this is why the ground will never be built - they will never throw good money after bad.

The ONLY solution is for them to return to the Ricoh, everyone knows this including ACL/CCC so as Grendel alluded to on another thread, the best thing we can do is say "go ahead and build" call their bluff, this may speed things to a head. Eventually SISU will realise this if they don’t already and they will have to come back on a tenancy agreement at reduced rates. And to be clear, reduced rates is what it SHOULD be and not the ridiculous rent they were paying before. If they did this and negotiated a rent that was acceptable (to my mind this has already been offered) then the club could then start to get on an even keel again. SISU just need to stop the brinkmanship as its fooling no one, accept the odd few like RFC of course.

I am pretty sure everybody will stop going now.

As soon as people get proof that by not going to Sixfields it will bring the club home I am pretty sure it will change opinions, not just hear say on the internet.

Not necessarily, Sisu/ARVO would still have been the largest creditors, they would have still be able to outbid interested parties, and could have rejected the CVA if they weren't the preferred bidder.

Not sure I understand what your saying Nick.

How will people get proof that not going will bring the club home? And even if proof was forthcoming, people will still go as they care about their Saturday fix, not the longterm future of the club.

no-one will know unless they give it a try, 1 game and we would know either way what response we would get. surely RFC, Anton Dubec, Andrea B and all the other super fans could manage 1 game just to see the response?

Firstly bids were sealed and I think Otium won with a bid of £1.5m - its not a huge leap to suggest had the others known what they were bidding on, they may have offered more than this figure, in reality only SISU knew what they were bidding on.

Secondly, as we have seen with CCC rejecting, the "prefered bidder" is still in control of the golden share so not sure it would have changed anything.

Why do you think sisu will sell if they got the freehold to the ricoh , What in there dna would stop them from doing the very thing everyone accused acl of doing and charging ccfc massive rent , keeping the dept high in ccfc and getting there money back that way, why do you think they would want to pass it on when they could do what acl have been doing

But the fact that Players were not in Ltd meant no one else would bid. I'm sure if someone bid say £20M Sisu/Arvo may have thought about it and maybe cut their losses rather than bid higher.

And CCFC will still be lumbered with huge debts they'll be paying off for years to come.. even if the Arena wipes out a good percentage..

So we'd have lost 10 points but be in Cov? Sounds like a trade.

But yeah, Sisu had the admin process all sewn up, if they didn't they never would've allowed it to get that far.

If the players were with the share, who knows what we'd be looking at, serious negotiations? Sisu gone? JR against the original lease?

The trouble is, people like you are not even willing to try, are you Nick?

And if NOPM, in its current form, results in the club returning, you will be happy. But you will have done sod all to help, will you Nick?

Because as everyone keeps pointing out, they want a return on their investment. And they won't get that by just charging the club a high rent. The DNA of SISU has been to buy, invest, and sell on. They won't be able to sell the club that doesn't own a ground to recoup the kind of losses they have incurred.
