My gut feeling was always that SISU want to close the academy to reduce overheads/cashflow/risk and they they are moving to bringing in scouted players from various sources. e.g.non-league, ex-premier academy and other local academies like SFF etc. As OSB implies out the open letters are really only PR to show 'effort', but you notice they all have conditions or blame towards other parties attached. If any real resolution was sought I think this would be happening in private.
Entirely possible, but I think it's also undeniable that neither the Council nor Wasps are exactly acting in a way that supports the ongoing provision of the academy.
The questions placed by Fisher seem legitimate enough to me, we can only speculate on the motives. But it's a bit hard blaming the club for ditching the academy if Wasps are buying the site and the Council are seemingly avoiding legitimate planning considerations to enable them to develop it to their ends.

Blinded by your hate of SISU into giving the Council and Wasps a free pass?
It's patently more than just the owners who are responsible for the mess here, but it's a lot easier to just rail against them than to consider the facts I guess.

More to the point the owners absolutely have to go. Yes, without question.
If other issues aren't resolved though, we just create Emperor's New Clothes.
It's not the same situation as when Richardson went, but left Robinson, McGinnity, Higgs lying around but... the principle's the same. If we don't change everything that holds us back, then we're less likely to fix it.

Would agree duffer he had to put something out, had to state the clubs case and the letters were better than we have seen in the past. Had the club not put anything out they would have been battered by the fans. Still feels more like being seen to do something rather than any real substance, other than setting perhaps a basis/justification for what comes next - but that's just my opinion.
