Palmer has been great this season and they are easing him back. He picked up an injury in the mini close season, but I would expect to see more of him tonight and over the festive period. Kane can't defend, the amount of goals we conceded last season where he switched off was unreal. Sure that's why Robins doesn't fancy him. Bit like Grimmer, who couldn't defend either and he was bombed out.
As soon as he fixed his sleep schedule and got off whatever substances he was on. He went to shit, well I say make him unhealthy again.
On a serious note you see it, average player has good spell of form, goes back to being average or even worse than before. It just hasn’t worked for him here. It’s time to go
I really struggle to see you potential that most others see in Eccles. I want to but, continually am disappointed.
I see him as very shaky and unconvincing defensively and hurried and uncoordinated going forward.

Did you see the QPR game. All our players did well that day but Eccles was one of the best. He didn't start the season well but I have seen enough in a few games recently to suggest he would be a good player at this level if he stats fit.
After the announcement of Saturday’s starting XI - and without discussing the merits of the individuals involved, we were discussing how far down the pecking order Todd Kane has fallen.
The right back he competed with last season got injured, so did the replacement rwb and then a third was switched from the left side to the right ahead of him. Now we are all aware of the various stories about why he fell out with staff/players but it might be worth noting that he’s made 30 appearances and started 24 games for us.
Perhaps it’s the case that a 25th start would trigger a payment to QPR that the club are reluctant to make?
From what I recall, we had deals lined up, he then went and got an operation. Thus, all deals were off and he got to remain here on his current wage for doing very little. Robins was certainly not aware pf the fact he was going for an operation.

Same as that. I think it shows aswell with Burroughs coming in just how much more mobile he is than Eccles. I’ll take the point Eccles was doing a job for us in that position at RWB but for me he’s just another in the line of the ten a penny midfielders who if he left there would be another one around the corner.
Considering we have an overload of players in that position, it's still a problem area. Burroughs is breaking through which is good, but for me, Dabo and Eccles aren't good enough there. That leaves Kane, and is he good enough? I'm not entirely sure. Robins obviously really feels strongly against playing him, but at the same time, when you have such a tight squad and one that is hit with injuries it doesn't make sense to be so rigid.
