Long serving GMK and SBT member Tom Atkins has sadly passed away. Tom was avid City fan and followed the team around the country. He also arranged match travel for many city fans over the years. I've had many great chats with him at home and away games. Always brought a smile to my face talking to him.

He was always involved in charity work with the Nuneaton Round Table, raising great figures for some great local charities.

RIP Tom ( @Tommystours )

Tom was my boss for a few years - sad news.

I was with him on Thursday, the day before he became ill. As was another member of SBT. He was absolutely fine, holding court as always, including a CCFC story or two.

The initial news on Friday came as an absolute shock and it just got worse.

Tom was an incredible person and helped so many people, directly and indirectly through his charity work with Round Table.

If I’m honest, it still hasn’t sunk in, nor does it feel real. We have a few events over the next few weeks which he was historically pretty key to and loved being part of, so it’s going to hit even harder doing that without him around.

He leaves a massive hole in a lot of people’s lives, including mine, and he’ll be forever missed.

RIP Tom x

I put a sad emoji at first and then thought, no. I think he definitely deserves a thumbs up for all his charity work and dedication.

Well done, Tom. Hope we can get all 3 points for you tomorrow. 🤞

He was Santa on the "Sleigh" that gets towed around many Nuneaton Estates, wasn't he?
