Top Up TV has confirmed plans to offer Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 from next month as part of Ofcom's new wholesale pricing model.
From August 2, the pay-TV operator will make the two premium sports channels available in time for the start of the new English Premier League season.
Customers will be able to subscribe to Sky Sports 1 for £22.99 a month or a bundle of Sky Sports 1 and 2 for £31.99 a month. Alternatively, they can opt for a bundle of Sky Sports 1, 2 and ESPN for £39.99 a month.
Top Up TV will also offer Sky Sports 1 and 2 for free for the first month for anyone who subscribes before September 6, with no obligation to take up the contract.
The launch of the main Sky Sports channels on Top Up TV has been made possible by Sky's interim deal in April to enable an Ofcom-mandated "wholesale must-offer" price to come into force for carriage of Sky Sports 1 and 2 on digital terrestrial and cable.
"Top Up TV is the easy place to get Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2 and ESPN in the UK," said Top Up TV chief executive Nick Markham.
"With no 12 month contract, the lowest stand-alone price and no need to buy bundled packages, Top Up TV puts fans in control - you can choose the best sport on your own terms."
Top Up TV said that most subscribers will be able to receive Sky Sports 1 and 2 on their existing set top boxes or digital video recorders. However, the firm has some "very special offers" available for any customers that need to upgrade their equipment.
