Well it is ThursdayAndy Turner saying be expects a new face in before the weekend, assuming last training session of the week is today? Surely got be a 5pm announcement..
Didn't see any U23 games. My gut instincts (from what I have read from various sources) which ultimately have no basis in fact are: Eccles looks good but has had fitness problems. Will play games if he can keep fit. Thought Bapaga would be further along now, wait and see. Howley really highly thought of. Looked like a rabbit in the headlights for his first senior appearance but can't judge on one part of a game. Thought Tavares would have progressed more quickly, but will get some game time if only as a sub. Again, Burroughs and Reid should be challenging for some sub time. We need a big squad especially up to the World Cup, so we will have to take a gamble on the youngsters if we can't get too many new players in. Think MR was great with his five subs during Covid. Lets hope we have a squad to allow him to change games.I'm hoping that:
Bapaga
Howley
Eccles
Tavares
Burroughs(s)
have enough to be part of the first team squad and do a job when they're needed. Also hopeful a fit Waghorn gives us something for one season.
Add at least one CB and a LWB that can play at this level and that's a decent window. Lose one of the Big Three and don't replace 'em, I'll be worried.
I'm interested to hear what anyone who saw lots of U23 games thinks about those listed above. Good enough, or better out on loan?
Looks like Isaac Moore signed pro terms with us
U16 last season, going into U17 (first year of scholarship), likely sign pro on 17th birthday. Positive news we kept him
Our new superstar. Villa sniffing, dirty dogsWho he?
Where's this news come from?Looks like Isaac Moore signed pro terms with us
Eccles without injury I believe can step up. The others I think are still trying to claim a spot on the bench.I'm hoping that:
Bapaga
Howley
Eccles
Tavares

Is this maggers again?

Think people put two and two together with Skybluebeliever comments about a defender from a top Premier League club being on the radar. Looks like that was Egan Riley. Sounds like someone will sign tomorrow. With it being 1st July I suspect it will be a free agent. I did wonder whether Cameron Humphreys may be on the radar again. Been linked previously. Can cross Sepp van den Berg off the list…
Liverpool could sanction Premier League loan for impressive young defender
Liverpool have fielded loan enquiries from sides in the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga to sign Sepp van den Berg for the 2022/23 seasonwww.liverpoolecho.co.uk
I’m unsure we will be making any immediate signingsThink people put two and two together with Skybluebeliever comments about a defender from a top Premier League club being on the radar. That's a shameI’m unsure we will be making any immediate signings
‘Business done before Spain’ is quickly going to turn into ‘business done before Sunderland’ and then ‘business done before the end of the window’ isn’t it?I’m unsure we will be making any immediate signings
Where’s t’other ITK, you’ve been a real downer recently.I’m unsure we will be making any immediate signings
Let’s hear it for Canada dayWe normally make signings on the 1st July, think Sheaf was announced last year on the same date, that was done ages before it was announced, so think tomorrow will be the day
I’d rather keep Jamie AllenJoe Allen leaving Stoke at the end of his 57k a week contract. Can't see us matching that to be honest.
Andy Turner was asked if he expected any this week and said yesI’m unsure we will be making any immediate signings
