He swallows and regurgitates better than any other poster on here , it's quite a feat . Then disappears for days after Godden has a good game against Boro after wanting rid of him after the Leicester gameHow are you going with the £17m figure now because someone said it on a forum?
Right you are, sir! Better eyes than me!I think that's showing in Euros
Alright plattyHow are you going with the £17m figure now because someone said it on a forum?
I was actually away with my friends Martin so I wasn’t at the gameHe swallows and regurgitates better than any other poster on here , it's quite a feat . Then disappears for days after Godden has a good game against Boro after wanting rid of him after the Leicester game
He's a strange one for sure
It's 12-15 according to most sourcesAlright platty
a lot of money then
Point is @Evo1883 its a lot of moneyIt's 12-15 according to most sources
No but three weeks is more than enough time to replace Hamer and get the other reinforcements in.It would be a bit frustrating, but I presume you wouldn't want the club to be taken for a ride and pay over the odds, or alternatively sign someone who wasn't near the top of our list?
Not like we’ve just sold our best player for 17 million
Bloody would. I'd love a Mars BarIf you've just won £1,000, that wouldn't justify forking out £20 for a Mars bar.

It was a backhanded compliment my friendI was actually away with my friends Martin so I wasn’t at the game
no need to get personal, it’s your forte
You can loan mars bars ?Fair comment mate
but I’d expect more than a loan signing
We were actually one kick away from staying in the mix.
Last season has gone. No professional footballer will sign on that alone. You are just an emotional fan.
Lots of teams are showing intent and ambition to get promoted to the Premier League. We are better placed than we were but by no means are we out in front leading the field.
Treat them mean vibe is it MartinIt was a backhanded compliment my friend
Simms doesn’t look like he can play on his own. We need o hare back badly, without rushing himIf we do miss out on a midfielder then I can see us playing the box formation again with Ayari and Sakamoto behind Simms/Wright
He played up top on his own for Sunderland and Everton last seasonSimms doesn’t look like he can play on his own. We need o hare back badly, without rushing him
We pay a fortune in ULEZ if we signed himGet this Sadiq guy from Hacken. He's tearing Aberdeen to shreds

Looks like he's already signed for Alkmaar for only 3.5m. He looks quality. Granted its against the semi pro footballers of AberdeenGet this Sadiq guy from Hacken. He's tearing Aberdeen to shreds

Yeah you’re right it would have but we’ve moved on as a club since then, selling our best players to help fund development, Vik & Gus together got 30 goals for us last season, to remain worried about £2-£3m when we have a large deficit in quality in our midfield seems like the wrong way to look at it in my opinion.Last season £2-3m would’ve been outrageous spending for us, I can’t believe we now just want to throw that amount at whoever to “help us out”?
Khan see this happening ULEZ we put in a good bid for himGet this Sadiq guy from Hacken. He's tearing Aberdeen to shreds

We have upped our bids for players ,.just look at Kitching we started at 2.5 and went up to 4 million. There has to be a time to say no and walk away . It isn't football manager and we can't treat it as such if we want long term stabilityYeah you’re right it would have but we’ve moved on as a club since then, selling our best players to help fund development, Vik & Gus together got 30 goals for us last season, to remain worried about £2-£3m when we have a large deficit in quality in our midfield seems like the wrong way to look at it in my opinion.
Agree with you there, I think that’d be the best thing to do rather than trying to force Eccles to be a Hamer replacement, we have a wealth of attacking mids so might as well use a formation that allows us to use them.If we do miss out on a midfielder then I can see us playing the box formation again with Ayari and Sakamoto behind Simms/Wright
Beat me to itWe pay a fortune in ULEZ if we signed him
Absolutely, no professional footballer will sign on that alone but it’s something that other clubs simply can’t say. Of course I’m biased and emotionally involved but I genuinely think we should be aiming high and pushing that extra £1m here and there to get deals done, for example Brekalo has stated he’d love to move to the Prem and doesn’t mind taking time to establish himself at another club to get there, I can’t imagine it would take much more than an extra £1m or so to get the deal done. If he improves even further as a player and a bigger club then us comes along and makes a bid in the next window then it’s an opportunity we’ve missed out on.
I’m not having a go (and I don’t like being pessimistic) but as it currently stands we have Eccles, Sheaf and Kelly playing as defensive CMs and a loan signing as CB backup, what happens if we have a serious injury (McFadz won’t last forever unfortunately) and then a suspension, we’ve literally got no one to play CB. Same for CM, Kelly is getting on and isn’t the quality we need, what if Sheaf or Eccles gets injured? It’s a real lack of quality and depth that concerns me. I trust Robins and our fanbase all the way but we’ve got to plan for unforeseen circumstances and aim above and beyond if we want to be a consistent top 6 team.
We have Sakamoto,Palmer , O Hare and Ayari to fight for two places . System would suit our wing backs as wellAgree with you there, I think that’d be the best thing to do rather than trying to force Eccles to be a Hamer replacement, we have a wealth of attacking mids so might as well use a formation that allows us to use them.
Very true, and I agree with you on Kitching, £4 million is too much to pay for him. I think Brekalo is worth more though, he looks like the real deal tbh.We have upped our bids for players ,.just look at Kitching we started at 2.5 and went up to 4 million. There has to be a time to say no and walk away . It isn't football manager and we can't treat it as such if we want long term stability
Too good to missBeat me to it
And Ayari. We can manage without another CB. I don’t think we can manage without another CM, but we’ve made a right pig’s ear of it. Got to hope Sheaf, Eccles and Kelly can see us through to January…
If we play a box we are one injury away from having no DM on the bench. If we do miss out on a midfielder then I can see us playing the box formation again with Ayari and Sakamoto behind Simms/Wright
