Sold out? You only brought just over 1000, our away allocation is up to 3300! We had larger followings from league 2 last season
The above is my point. Too many people thinking we're billy-big-bollocks and we're not.
There are clubs who have better population to attendance ratios than ours. And those without.
However, we're not that well supported. Accept that and that's fine. However, pretend we're something we are not, and haven't been for many years is plain embarrassing
Post of the month above, no doubt MMM will come back with plethora of phrases and complex words to force home a point that doesn't exist.
*sits tight*
If you mean patronising waffle, that's his forte.
You obviously tried very hard with that post, so I shan't dissect it in the manner deserved.
Oh dear, irony too. Quite a day
Zzzzzzz your opinions masquerading as facts were all demolished earlier in the thread and that's the best you've got.

Not really the fact is our support is relatively poor. Our first game against the biggest team in the division was a poor turnout however you look at it.
I always look at forest as a reference point. They are a similar sized city and very similar demographic. Their attendances have held up a lot better than ours over the last decade.

Because they were managed by one of the best British managers ever over a lengthy period who won then European Cups and domestic titles.
It has been almost 30 years since they were a force in football. Do you honestly think that we would attract that consistency of support almost 3 decades later? I don't. I see our club as very similar to the likes of Birmingham and Middlesborough. Sharp declines in lean years. Look at Leicester since the new ground - always high attendances and they have no trophy cabinet to boast of.

Villa fans are still "dining out" on their past glories, Every game they goad other teams with the song "Have you ever won a European Cup" mainly to the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea (up until last Season )
And I am certain that if we had the same success as Forest did all those years ago, we would have maintained a much higher fan base !
