Not surprised to see that from CNN. Oblivious to the fact that the candidate as much on the fringe as possible beat the ultimate mainstream candidate in 2016. This was a referendum on Trump where not being Trump mattered quite a lot.

Those that make the most noise in the Protestant community seem to think that being racist is a sign of being British. My own family fortunately aren’t like that. Possibly because they’ve never been involved in politics or unionism past the local marching band and most of my mothers generation spent at least a little time working and living in England during the 60’s and 70’s when they got lumped in with other minorities in England. I think it came as a shock to them that they were widely at the time considered outsiders in England and not British, having been brought up to consider themselves very much British.Exactly if I'd of meant protestant I would of said protestant.
