I went to the game today and it was clear to see our supporters have started to turn on the club, lots of booing and disgruntlement and telling the players to do one,when they came over to clap at the end. Supporters were angry more than anything.

I think the realisation of how far we have fallen has finally sunk in, hence the agro at the station with Fisher.

We looked and played like a mid table division 4 side today, the worst I have seen in my years of following the City. It's very sad, but until SISU sell the club to people who are willing to invest into the club then its only going to get worse.

I was livid at full time. Now I've had time to calm down and reflect, I'm still pissed off but maybe booing and throwing a wanker sign or 2 at the sheepish players coming over to applaud our - once again - magnificent support was a tad harsh.

Point and a clean sheet yes, but no goals in 3 and playing against 10 men for half an hour isn't good enough, particularly when a lot of us went into the season with high hopes.

2nd half was better, we were dominant but it wasn't really an onslaught. McNulty did the hard part to spin away from his marker before dragging his 1 on 1 wide, was denied by a superb tip onto the bar with another chance and very close with a header. Add in Jones's shot which missed by a whisker and the Vicenti goal ruled out for offside, it could've been a very different topic of conversation on here this evening. Fine lines and margins.

Port Vale at home NEEDS to yield 3 points without fail!

Agree and alot of these players are new to the club and getting abuse which isn't right. The setup isn't right and we need a solution to creativity and goal scoring

I for one was applauding the players at the end. The set-up is wrong and Robins really needs to get back to the training ground and find a working formula for our front line because it's just not working.

I've just said in hindsight it was perhaps harsh. Should we perhaps applaud them off, accept yet more mediocrity and bullshit?

But no, I am not sure what is suddenly dawning on people. The system is wrong, as it was against Yeovil and Newport, it's setup for defending a lead even when we aren't winning.

Having had a bit more time to reflect, them going down to 10 probably did us no favours at all. It made them absolutely shut up shop, prior to that we were starting to get a foothold in the game.

Of course we played like a fourth tier side. We are one.

I'd have no problem telling them that they weren't good enough today and that I'm sick of wasting my life following them up and down the country as I have done for the past 20 years to be served up nothing but disappointment.

Seems like pretty good motivation to me. Go out there and prove that the fans were wrong and that you are actually fit to play for the badge. We aren't going to agree on this matter. My frustration boils over and today was completely unacceptable to come away with less than 3 points in the circumstances.

God knows how the players are feeling! But it will probably be along the lines of " I need to get away from this club!" What ever enthusiasm they had has now been taken out of them, I shall wait now with bated breath for "they are professional players and accept it" well I say to you this if your boss or colleagues had a go at you at work insulting you etc don't tell me that you would not set about trying to leave your job and go some where else!! Well that's exactly what the city players will be doing now! so we are in for shit games aplently

Telling them they weren't good enough and discussing it or shouting wanker in their face?

You can guarantee you would be all crying like little bitches if any of our players said anything back and how it was a disgrace.

Problem is we all want our team to be successful because of the shite we have suffered for too many years, frustrations turn into anger, I am sure the teams confidence is relatively low so how do we as fans try to help? Now I am not an expert but calling them wankers I wouldn't imagine is the best way to get them to up their games... but each to their own our support of late has been nothing short of magnificent lets not sink to such depths of abuse, we have to face it atm we are a 4th division team full of lower league players and I am sure the teams of the sixties had poor games but ultimately the support built them into lions and we rose through the leagues..... onwards and upwards PUSB

Booing aside, I am curious as to why some people clap the players off regardless of the result.

I remember at Cambridge last season. We'd just been battered 4-0 to a side in the league bellow, following about 5 defeats in a row, yet people were applauding them off? The same happened a month later when we were humiliated at Bristol Rovers, at that point we had lost 7 in a row.

If the team works their socks off and loses, I understand, but when they play as poorly as the games I've just mentioned it surprises me.

There's still a difference, if we have played shit I just go. If we have played really well I tend to hang about and give a bit more support.

Some people will support regardless and applaud rather than abuse to maybe let the players know the fans are behind them to take that into next week. Then it might make the difference between somebody trying a shot from distance or not in case they get shit loads of abuse.
