That made me laugh. 'Applaud our magnificent support'
'Throwing a wanker sign at our sheepish players'
You do understand the meaning of support?
Telling them they weren't good enough and discussing it or shouting wanker in their face?
You can guarantee you would be all crying like little bitches if any of our players said anything back and how it was a disgrace.
Stop whining like a little bitch. They had support from before the game up until the 96th minute. So yes, magnificent support. A small chorus of collective boo's after the game following a 3rd game without a goal, 4th game since victory, the failure to break down ten men against a side who have been shipping goals and having no plan B will perhaps give the players AND manager a kick up the arse to make them realize a) it wasn't good enough and b) something needs to change. Should they be cheered off and lauded to the high heavens for failure? I'm not saying that in jest, seriously. As I said last night, in the heat of the moment it happened, people were angry, it happens.
No, telling them it wasn't good enough and discussing it. It would be just weird shouting wanker at someone (as the bloke did with Fisher at the train station). The thing is, booing players off - albeit very rarely - doesn't achieve anything, it purely just shows frustration. The players probably do think it's disgraceful, but they're big boys and I'm sure they're accustomed to such reactions by now. As I've said it's not something I make a habit of but yesterday was not good, AGAIN.
Trust me i have no problem telling anyone what I think of them, especially wankers
Well going by your magnificent support no wonder they played shit...
You say they had support from the first minute, there were people getting on Davies' back 15 minutes in?
You think some tosser calling them a wanker is going to tell them something they don't already know? They aren't stupid they know it isn't good enough.
Nobody has said to laud them for failure, please point out when somebody has said that?
What people and I have said is that there is no need to be a c**t.
The players came over and applauded the support, you would moan if they didn't.
You say it was in the heat of the moment and yet defend your actions!
I'd have no problem telling them that they weren't good enough today
I thought you were booing and throwing wankers signs? No, telling them it wasn't good enough and discussing it
Why do you keep asking if they should be applauded cheered off and lauded for their failure? No one has said that so it's a shit argument.
People booing and throwing wankers signs will be the first to complain next week if people don't have the confidence to shoot or cross it it and just play the safe negative back pass.
So you wouldn't be calling them wankers like you do when you are in stand in numbers then?
So what would happen if you had given it loads to one of the players and the group abuse and they told you to fuck off in reply? You would be pissing your pants at how disgusting it was.
Alright chirpy, what's got up your nose this morning?
No I honestly couldn't give a monkeys. People who had a problem with me booing for a few measly seconds as I walked down the steps yesterday, could've quite easily confronted me about it. It's not as if I made a beeline for the front of the hoardings and singled each one of them out.
Ah this guy again. It's not a shit argument is it? I'm asking a question and no-one has been able to answer. If for instance we get tonked 5-0 to a team rock bottom of the table, what would you do? Clap them off presumably?
So it would be OK if the players told you to fuck off in reply?
I can sort of understand the people abusing Tim Fisher, maybe not the way they go about it but it's easy to see why. When it's the players it's baffling.
I just did answer. I'd just walk out and go home on the full time whistle, it isn't a difficult question to answer so not sure why you are giving it the "nobody has been able to answer line".
It is a shit argument, because the way you are going on you would think you have to just applaud, whoop and cheer the players or boo and abuse them with nothing in between.
No of course it wouldn't morally, because they are labelled as 'professionals' but it's only what they're thinking anyway. It's both the players and management who didn't do their jobs yesterday. Are you telling me that you didn't boo once at full time last season during the ridiculous amount of games that we lost and shocking performances that went with it?
But my point is, if it's not good enough then why shouldn't the players and management be made aware of people's feelings? The very people who pay their wages and travel the length and breadth of the country to watch them play for the badge? All we want is success Nick. It's not as if we have just come down from the Prem or even the Championship after a few decent years. This is ingrained into the clubs fabric, accepting mediocrity.
Yes I am telling you that. I'd be pissed off and just go home when the whistle went rather than standing around. If we played well I'd hang about a bit longer and applaud.
So what you are saying is that in the stands when there are loads of people there it's OK for you to abuse the players, you wouldn't do it if it was just you and a player and if the players said anything back it would be wrong.
Well that's your prerogative. And yes I do the same, praise is warranted where it is due. If we stick 4 past port vale next week then we will all be praising every single one of them. If I'd have been the only fan in that stand yesterday I'd have still booed. It was the feeling I wished to express at the time.
I just don't see the whole point of the wanker stuff and abusing the players when in the safety in the stand, when you would be outraged if they say something back because they are "professionals".
That's just how it is. Double hard bastards in the stands, "hold me back" nonsense.
It's all learned behaviour. Our dads were at it. We are at it. Our children will be at it.

I for once totally agree with your post Grendel , keep up the good work, there's a good chap . :emoji_relaxed:If the players don't go over and clap the support they'd be accused of arrogance and not showing they care.
If they do its common courtesy to reply in kind
It's also common coutesy to give your all for your team and it's supporters. If the players don't go over and clap the support they'd be accused of arrogance and not showing they care.

Break the cycle, chief. That's just how it is. Double hard bastards in the stands, "hold me back" nonsense.

Remember how many games in we are.We ain't good enough and fans know it and fear the worse. As for booing what else can supporters do, they've spent money probably over. 100 quid and got shite in return and let's not forget the boos were for the manager too, he selects the players and tactics, seen as a bit of a messiah at the moment that will soon change unless he looks at the teams he picks and the method of play employed the booing will intensify I believe. Remember we are about 12 places from non league, think about it.
And remember what division we are in.
What's your point? And remember what division we are in.
We're not currently good enough for higher leagues. What's your point?
Squad is plenty good enough for this league though. We're not currently good enough for higher leagues.
