We know you think it's the groundshare, you've said enough times. Fact is we've signed a fair number of players, some for money, and we've got a significant offer out for another target. This is down to poor management of the transfers and nothing elsePersonally I don’t think he is able to go out and get who he wants Chaplin sale was to balance the books I feel, people can say groundshare won’t effect anything but let’s be real to incoming players we are trying to attract it doesn’t look good.

If this is true then Robins has been played in the market two summers running. With the way he recruitment department is running we should be doing better than this. Mowbray like being 2 days from kickoff having Baka and Biamou as our only options.
Forrest wouldn’t let the player leave without a player coming which in the mean time has alerted Lincoln not much more we could of done. We’ve offered similar terms to Lincoln we’re local ish to where the player currently is arguably a bigger club some might say it would of been down to the players decision where he wanted to go.
The early business was great but when Chaplin left it was imperative that we moved quickly to get more reinforcement in that area. We waited too long for Chaplin last year and it meant it took time for the team to click. This year we waited too long for Walker and he's gone elsewhere leaving us very short. But he did get 9 players in very early on. Mowbray just kept waiting....and waiting....and waiting. Yes, it's frustrating that it's a position we struggled with last year but there will be other irons in the fire - remember Armstrong and how late he came in? As long as MR doesn't panic buy in desperation it's OK. Far from ideal, but OK.
It can be a bit of a lottery with strikers - they can look amazing at one club and useless at another.
No I haven’t forgot and I’m quite happy to accept they said stop the legals against Wasps... hence the club signing undertakings saying so.
No legal action is being taken against Wasps - Wasps will only be chased for damages in the event that the sale is undersold. If the Ricoh is undersold then the council have to recoup the losses - that isn’t legal action against Wasps is it.
If as Wasps say, it was sold for the correct price then Wasps are not involved. They also stated that the complaint did not mean negotiations were stopped
YesIsn't Lincoln nearer Nottingham than Cov (Birmingham)?
ShfwfLincoln beating us to a signing, fucking hell how embarrassing

BoringSisu saying they are covering the losses yet aren’t willing to give robins any of the Chaplin money to re invest.... shit owners! Watch us sell Bayliss too
But again it does not impact wasps unless something is wrong with the sale. The legal action impacts Wasps. Stop being so obtuse.
That’s like my dickhead mate who when we were kids and someone asked him to take his shoes off when he came in their house went “ooohhhh but I’m wearing trainers”. It’s the sort of autistic logic that doesn’t fly past about six. You should be embarrassed for employing it.
I get it. The ball is in Wasps court, it’s easier to moan at them because of that. But making out there’s no context at all is just silly.
Why is it poor management of transfers? Players and other clubs dont have to drop everything so Coventry can sign targets. We are no different to any other club.We know you think it's the groundshare, you've said enough times. Fact is we've signed a fair number of players, some for money, and we've got a significant offer out for another target. This is down to poor management of the transfers and nothing else
Judging by the disappointment expressed I would say ‘yes’.Not coming here then, is anybody really surprised ?

the way people talking / having a meltdown on here, I presume its been confirmned he is going to Lincoln then... links ?
or just hearsay / fantail that's sending some into "OH MY GOD I cant believe Lincoln beat us to a signing" meltdown

But yeah the point is it’s a pretty big ball - it’s a ludicrous term that wasps knew we wouldnt agree to - funnily they haven’t publically announced that’s specifically what they want.
Do you actually think it’s a fair term?
Not to mention Clark Harris.Whoever MR brings in up front I just hope he plays to their strengths. He seems to be adept at bringing in strikers and not playing to their best attributes, at least initially.
McNulty - looked poor in MR's preferred formation until injuries forced him to pair him with Max when he flourished
Baka - played him as an old-fashioned CF due to his height but clearly wasn't that type of player
Chaplin - supposed to be a poacher/predator but was playing in a deep 10 role most of the time. Another one we were told played best with a strike partner but we played one up top.
Even Hiwula looked poor for quite some time and even then blew hot and cold, with a few stinkers.
