I'm not overly bothered we've missed this particular target, I'm more concerned that we let Chaplin leave without a replacement ? We've done this before, let a player go and then not align a new striker first, when will we ever learn ?
Nothing on Lincoln or Forest twitter which is where signings are confirmed these days.Any confirmation yet?
Of the 3 strikers still at the club, 2 have better goal to game ratios than Chaplin, suggesting if we play 1 upfront, hed be third choice anyway and was come the latter parts of the season.. . Not the end of the world
Looks like its being confirmed by lincoln this afternnon.
A few on their board have become billy big bollocks and taking the piss out of us calling us hobos etc.
Remind me again who are Lincoln and what have they won in the last 50 years

This is getting ridiculous now, sounds like it was all a bit of a ploy to get season ticket sales. Over spend early in the window to try and show ‘we’re going for it’, and then sell our best assets without re-investing to balance the books. It all stinks a bit to me, I guess we’ll have to wait to see what we bring in but it’s not looking good at the minute.Sky Blues boss on Tyler Walker's move to Lincoln City
“You just don’t know and there are situations where clubs are more powerful in terms of their ability to spend money than we are at this present time.
“We have to be aware of that and adjust our targets.”
They must have a healthy budget then
Mate this is exactly what I've been thinking! Typical Sisu at it againThis is getting ridiculous now, sounds like it was all a bit of a ploy to get season ticket sales. Robins: “You just don’t know and there are situations where clubs are more powerful in terms of their ability to spend money than we are at this present time."
Cowley: “We have to thank Nottingham Forest, who have really worked with us. For them, it is more about Tyler and his development than finances. I think they could have got more money for him through loan fees or a bigger contribution to his wages, but they believes this is going to be the best place for him."
So...who's lying?
It’s hard to disagree with this at the moment. The way Robins’ talking about the upcoming season seems to have completely shifted recently. Some of the quotes from today almost sound like he’s expecting us to struggle. This is getting ridiculous now, sounds like it was all a bit of a ploy to get season ticket sales. The only thing he will develop at Lincoln is noise induced hearing loss due to listening to that bloody air raid warning sirenRobins: “You just don’t know and there are situations where clubs are more powerful in terms of their ability to spend money than we are at this present

Forest are happy for him to learn the art of Hoofball according to that then.
The whole attitude from Robins seems to have changed though. He’s gone from saying “we’re going for it” to quotes like this:Are people really getting worked up over a few standard PR comments? Was there an expectation that Robin's was coming to come out swinging having a go at Forest or that Lincoln were going to say they can't believe he signed for them instead of us and it was a stupid decision?
But that's to be expected as we're at a different point in pre-season. Not sure why its taking people by surprise. The whole attitude from Robins seems to have changed though. He’s gone from saying “we’re going for it” to quotes like this:
“Last season’s slogan was rise together and given a fair wind and if we stick together we could have a fair season.” That doesn’t really fill me with confidence, it sounds like he’s already rolling out the excuses in anticipation of a disappointing season.
