Unthinkable a year ago, but I do genuinely think if the money is right we should consider it tbh - My hunch is that I think we won't wanna get shot of him in the middle of the season but it is perhaps something that may well have legs in the summer

The plan was surely to cash in on a few players in the summer and despite his bad form he should still draw interest.

Will hugely disappoint me to lose him, but it will happen by the summer you’d expect. Think it may start a redesign of the defensive side of our game - given our frailty I wouldn’t be averse to playing 4 CBs across the back line a bit like Arsenal, but with the ball-playing capability to move into midfield.

Still full of quality, playing alongside cbs who are uncomfortable with the ball at their feet - affecting him and the team imo. We play far too slowly, as Thomas and Lats (though, decent defenders) do not want to carry the ball into space, so pass it between each other, allowing the opposition to set up defensively. Yesterday was a prime example.

Could be a good deal for everyone imo. Think he needs a new start based on his interviews this year to rebuild his confidence.

Alrhough would want a replacement right back or two to be sorted before we sell him to avoid a Hamer situation.

Any ideas who we could bring in? Did like Calvin Ramsey as a shout a couple of years ago but struggled since moving from Aberdeen to Liverpool

Out of form, but one attribute we can't afford to lose is his covering speed at the back. That would need replacing above anything else he has to offer.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go. He is essentially a wing back and we now want to play 4 across the back line. Though he can be exciting going forward, as a defender he can be improved upon. I reckon anything north of £5 million and we'll take it.

He's not a wing back. His best performances have been as a RB in a back 4. He says himself he prefers playing as a right back in a back 4.

As long as the fees right, and we reinvest wisely, inevitable really - and shouldn't be seen as a problem or negative.

He'll be 28 in the summer, so too old to get a return on in 2 or 3 years time, so doesn't fit evil Doug's master plan.

He has had a disappointing season for sure, but it's worth remembering that he has played EVERY game, more minutes than any other player, in a position that covers a lot of ground.

I think he deserves a lot of credit for that.

He could really do with a rest. He's still a great player that gets into most teams in this league and he'd be difficult to replace.

Still a young lad and is a quality player. Obviously if big money comes in and he wants to go then fair enough but I want him to stay and reckon he’ll come good again this season. Every player has dips of form and as mentioned above, he plays a position that takes huge amounts out of you and hasn’t had a breather. First 2-3 games of the season he was best player in the team and I thought he might even be gone before window closed.

Our fans have very short memories

MVE is a bit of a conundrum - he has all the attributes to be a very good wing back but, oddly, looks uncomfortable there. Much better in a back four.

Unless he's pushing for a move, or it's a ridiculous offer, we'd be crazy to sell now. With his performances having dipped, he's probably at a low in terms of value.

Trent is another example of this. Putting them at wing back means their starting position is usually higher. In Milans case, this limits room for him to use his pace, in Trent's it affects his vision of the pitch in front of him.

Agree it's bizarre though, as more often than not, they end up in similar positions, in similar situations, but something just doesn't click

Anything over 10 million and you’ve got to let him go. However, I can see Doug holding on until he starts performing again so his value rises.

With all those big money signings last year though we have to consider selling a couple - rather that then let them go on a free further down the line. Can’t see any of them signing new contracts at the moment. Haji finishes the season strong and he will have interest in the summer.

I do wonder if we could adequately replace him for the money we are likely to receive right now, let alone fund improvements elsewhere. He stock was quite high after the Man U game where he looked every inch a PL player. This season - less so.

No doubt Dean Austin will have identified some quality replacements though. I presume we have moved on from Camera.

Don’t see them having the £10M+ that King is going to want. The Turkish teams aren’t awash with cash and are all selling their best players some of them to Championship clubs, Wright being a prime example.

Bidwell only missed one game in our play off season didn’t he?

Be sad to see him go. I think his performances this year are down to fact he never gets a break.

But if we get double figures you can't say no and we look to recruit a good replacement for lamaprd

I hope he stays though. Think people may have forgotten how good he can be on his day

I really like MVE and he can be one of the best full backs in the league, but has struggled for consistency this season.

10m is the magic number - would let him go for anything over that and we could reinvest in 2 replacements for him as we need more depth anyway.

Not sure I see it happening though as his value has dipped and selling in Jan puts us under huge pressure to get a replacement in.

I honestly can’t remember a player who has gone from hero to zero so quickly (yes form is temporary and he could find it again) but right now he is absolutely devoid of confidence, cannot remember the last time he beat his man and put a good ball in, rarely if ever goes beyond tats.

How is bidwell advancing more than MVE and being more creative.

Either he has a move lined up and is doing everything to not get injured or he genuinely has lost all confidence.

He’s not having a great season so far but I think it’d be silly to consider offers for him.
Say we get 10 mil for him.. are we going to get a similar quality player for much less than that? Probably not, unless we get lucky with recruitment.

I’m sure Frank is going to want the bones of this squad to stick together so we can build on it where we need and actually form a solid team to push up the league. We’re not going to get anywhere constantly chopping and changing our best players.

Should do everything we can to hold on to him. Our only RB. Our only defender with pace. Useful going forward. Good influence on the squad. Going through a sticky patch at the moment but one to build around rather than move on.

The most Galatasarary have spent on a defender is €9.5m which is £7.8m, and that was for a full international with over 200 appearances across all competitions for a top 4-5 PL team.

One of the 3 the club could cash in on in the summer but not now it would destabilise the team.

The club must cash in on at least one player this summer but it rather depends on what's offered or possible, there are always 3 parties to a transfer, the buyer, the seller and the player.

It's the model, buy them cheap, develop then reinvest, I would be sad to see him go but everyone has their price and if it allows us to bring in better players elsewhere we need to go for it. Got to be 10 mill minimum.

He looked different class against man utd in the cup semi final if he could get back to that level bigger clubs would come looking but us being so poor this season everyone's value has plummeted

There’s no “getting back to that level”, it was a one off game where everyone stepped up to a level they can’t maintain, the biggest the lot of them will probably ever play.

Why do we need to cash in? We will basically be getting the equivalent cash and not having to disrupt the squad at all via the Gyokeres sale. We’ll hopefully get a smattering of cash by selling Simms and a couple of others. Really don’t think we should be getting rid of our one RB.

He usually puts at least one good ball in a game, you are exaggerating his drop in form
