If by ‘very good’, you mean ‘incredibly one-side revisionist bullshit that could have been written by George Duggins and Anne Lucas’ then you’re right, it’s very good.Very good effort from the Graun:
Toxic tactics behind Coventry’s slide from FA Cup glory to brink of oblivion
No doubt Joy and co will bring a legal case against them for telling the truth.
This is not political, how many more times does this need saying.I hate to be cynical as there is a lot of truth in the article but I wonder how the stance towards the council would be if it wasn't Labour controlled
Revisionist? What isn't true?If by ‘very good’, you mean ‘incredibly one-side revisionist bullshit that could have been written by George Duggins and Anne Lucas’ then you’re right, it’s very good.
Sometimes it’s as much about what you don’t write, as what you do.Revisionist? What isn't true?
Libel grounds for Sisu to sue surely....
When did the relationship between CCC/ACL and Sisu sour? Prior to 2012 if you remember Cov fans kicking off in the Derby game. The negotiations back then were for ACL to acquire Wasps (under different ownership) rather than the other way round. The stadium needed a sitting tenant to ensure it wasn't a white elephant. Sisu's actions have proved the council right to preempt on this...Sometimes it’s as much about what you don’t write, as what you do.
No mention of the Council lifting up its skirt to a London rugby club BEFORE the rent strike for example.
The City fans composed a more balanced article in the form of a song on Friday.

Buck stops with our owners. I hold to account the club owners and their corporate piracy more than any other party in this debacle. You'd have to be a confirmed Wibblester to think Seppala and her freehold ownership ambitions would be good Ricoh custodians....
Ahh,but there's still an opportunity for the club to buy a half share. Are our owners prepared to do that? You’d have to be a moron and hypocrite to think that an owner who has moved a club 100 miles from its home is a suitable custodian.

Suppose it all boils down to envisaged outcomes as to when this all finally concludes. Some on here seem to thing Sisu gaining control of the Ricoh means club and stadia combined leads to a quick sale to more benevolent owners. I'd disagree. Think it far more likely they'd retain stadium ownership and sell the club thus at the mercy of any rent Sisu wishes to charge. You really wouldn't ever get rid of them then....
Pretty sure they have stated (Wasps) that co-ownership is still an option. You're quite right, finding a buyer with Sisu as landlords would be tricky in the extreme, so then what? Do you think Sisu would run the club with any real care for it? Do you think Seppala would give up on her freehold ownership ambitions once she got a foothold? Not bothered about co-ownership with Wasps, indeed the shared running costs would be more financially viable, just really don't think it would be in their interests to upset the far bigger local football club once empowered with the half share.Where’s it been said there’s the option of the half share on the table? Would it be a good idea to get into bed with a club whose owners actually moved it permanently away from its home? They’d be minimal chance of anyone agreeing to buy the club with SISU retaining ownership, much in the same way that it’s very difficult now to find serious buyers due to the constraints and playing second fiddle to a rugby club.
Completely agree. However I can assure you there are plenty of conservative leaning voters in Coventry who are 100% behind the council's stance regarding SISU. It seems to me it's just fashionable these days to blame parties other than SISU.I hate to be cynical as there is a lot of truth in the article but I wonder how the stance towards the council would be if it wasn't Labour controlled
More factual than fashionable.Completely agree. However I can assure you there are plenty of conservative leaning voters in Coventry who are 100% behind the council's stance regarding SISU. It seems to me it's just fashionable these days to blame parties other than SISU.

The law is an ass.A number of eminent judges have presided over this all have kicked the sisu case into touch, I’m sure their legal eagles will have mentioned all the possibles and probables concerning ccc, acl, Higgs Trust, Wasps and whoever else there might be, perhaps, just perhaps it’s down to sisu.

Very good? It could have been written by the council and Wasps PR team. Terrible article.Very good effort from the Graun
Where's that then? Seems you don't like other parties being blamed for things along with sisu?Completely agree. Again, coincides with a few new typical social media accounts going into overdrive.
Yeah the bloke involved with the council and trust who applauded wasps.Whoever ukorca is seems to be getting a lot of exercise with the amount of jumping on people they're doing, as well as Lies Reid which I can only assume is the same person as all the other really shit accounts that don't know what parody is.

Pretty obvious really. 7 or 8 years ago it probably would have gone unnoticed though. They just keep using the same method.
