Still not tested in an ultra competitive league. Last 2 seasons have been Championship level opponents and his extremely high release clause must be a deterrent. If he left us to Germany, Spain or Italy, to a lower ranked team, then I'd imagine he'd seem more of a cert for one of the bigger clubs.
There aren't many forwards like gyokeres these days .. if he gets the move to arsenal it could well see him propelled into the category of the world's best forwards .. such is his unique 90s/00s style in the modern game he really stands out
I genuinely sometimes wonder if we had one of the world’s best strikers playing for us. I’m not sure if we’ve ever been able to say that before.
I mean, Steve Livingstone was good but…
BeastI genuinely feel we will look back in 10 years time and think 'wow we watched him at the CBS'

Saddlebrains can be a dick at times but there's no need for that
I'd say no.Is it realistic that Vik is going t move before the current window ends and sell on money to come in?
I'm not too fussed, providing he has another good season (he will) and doesn't pick up a bad injury (fingers crossed)So I'd say it's looking very unlikely that anything happens in this window.
Also a very nice assist on Friday against (admittedly terrible) Rio Ave. Sprung the offside trap perfectly.I'm not too fussed, providing he has another good season (he will) and doesn't pick up a bad injury (fingers crossed)
Have a look at 2 of the goals he set up against Porto (particularly the first) if you want a reminder as to how good he is.
Various outlets (none of note though from what I can see) are still linking him to Arsenal and less so Liverpool but Sporting have said he’s going nowhere. They’ve already kicked off their season and Vik scored in the opener. Can’t rule a move out but it looks unlikely in this window. Is it realistic that Vik is going t move before the current window ends and sell on money to come in?
I think he had an operation the day after the season ended. He’s back playing but that may have also played a part in him not moving, at least so far this window. Still can’t see a move happening though until next summer.I agree that I think he would of moved already if he was going to move, however, i also strongly agree that this is his peak value, what happens if he doesn't score so many this season, or gets injured etc. If I was him I would be desperate for a move this summer to the Premier League, increase in wage, better opposition, if you do well there, the world is his oyster afterwards
Maybe he just likes living in Lisbon, it's a beautiful city, he's on a decent wage ,will be playing in the CL and has a Portuguese gf these days.I think he had an operation the day after the season ended. The world doesn’t revolve around the PL. Arsenal seem to be trimming their squad of home grown players in foreward positions. If I was optimistic I'd say it was to make room for an expensive forward... However I am not, I'd say they're trying to balance the books after 3 or 4 years of wild spending.Let’s not forget the prem teams and their owners are huge panic mongers. A couple of games without goals before the end of August and someone will get the wallet out.

No but money talks and more often than not, there’s more offered in our top leagu
I imagine some of teams in Germany, Italy or Spain can offer him a decent wage too.No but money talks and more often than not, there’s more offered in our top league.
Atletico just bought Alvarez and both Milan teams would struggle to pay the fee.I thought he'd be a good fit for someone like Atletico Madrid or one of the Milan teams, as it's a step up with a chance of challenging for silverware whilst also still having the possibility of getting an even bigger further move down the line if he continued to improve

Nketiah isn’t moving nowStill time. Eddie Nketiah will be moving on shortly and Arsenal need a forward as a matter of necessity despite what Arteta says about backing Jesus. The low return on goals from their forward players is incredible for a title challenger.
The lack of credible links is a concern but these things pop up and escalate so quickly once an acceptable bid is in.
...Or I'm living in hope because I accidentally put money on this transfer happening as I forgot to remove it from my betslip.
Just Arsenal trying to drive a hard bargain I think. He clearly isn't good enough for them.Nketiah isn’t moving now
Thought Bournemouth have now been touted?Nketiah isn’t moving now
Maybe they should sign a plumber then.Players like Nketiah don’t win you league titles players like Vik do.
PSG need a stinker
