murphy - 9 - kept us in the game with some stunning saves, not giving 10 jsut cos no clean sheet lol
christie - 6 - just rusty, showed glimpses of the player we know he is,glad hes back
adams 5 -had bit of a hard time with their winger
clarke 5.5- really poor pass to give away goal, but came back strong i felt
webster 6 - solid, but gave striker too much space for their goal
thomas 6 - battled well but poor distribution
barton 6- grew into game as it went on,some really good passing and whilst his tackles consist of pushing players the effort was appreicated.
baker 7 - quiet game really but picked up 2 goals(yeh two! lol)
mousa 6 - nothing really came off for him
wilson - 6 - great poaching isntrincts but poor control and decision making tonight
clake - 5 - did nothing really, alot of that down to service however.

Baker quiet? Thought he was involved all night.

They'll be teams from our league who'll go out to worse teams than AFC Wimbledon. Good result that, and in the hat is all that matters. Not fussed about the performance really given the nature of the game, but they'll be some that will over analyze it.

didnt start great but didnt do anything too bad other than one bad giveaway, he kept the ball moving along well i thought, some great long range passes too.

its a ratings thread, i would imagine there will be loads of different opinions on the performance.

did baker do many mazy runs? did he put in loads of dangerous crosses? not in my book, noone outfield had a really good game, i think 7 as highest is about right.

Pretty much agree with those ratings.

Coventry Telegraph said:
But in the end they were able to smother the game and ease into tomorrow’s draw.

How nice is it to read that at the end of the match report? Another test passed for me, previous sides wouldn't have done that. I thought even just before their goal we were getting back into our stride, so a bad start no doubt, but it's another valuable experience for a young group of players and our 4th win on the trot. I'll take that.

Barton has a wonder boot, but needs too long on the ball. His days are seriously numbered. Fleck in for him tonight and it's a comfortable win.

I'd mark moussa down to a 5, yes nice assist but gave Adams no protection and left him isolated.

Baker was by far the most influential player.
Sometimes he can make many mistakes, but always causes problems.

Murphy was class.

It wasn't a dig at you. I just feel that televised performances are always over analyzed and they give those who never go to games an opportunity to share their unique insights. Some of the shit I heard in the pub tonight had me chuckling. I particularly liked the one about Clarke being a waste of space and Wilson being one-paced.

Personally, I couldn't really give a toss about the performance. We play better sides than that every week and beat them. Next.

yeh i think you are, i notice your boyfriend jordan clarke gets off scott free lol

You've confirmed the fact he's fingered your mrs with a 5.5. He was adequate tonight with one error. Minimum 6 if we are basing it on football manager. Which I'm in no doubt you are.

Barton didn't do too bad but surely this was his game to say hey Pressley I can do this, pick me. Fleck straight back in and I would think some youngsters are thinking, pick me!

have some respect will you, i am a married man.

he got stronger after the goal, a big header led to the atatck that got us our first goal.

coulda been a 6 possibly but webster was better than him. fine bump them up by 0.5 each.

also i have praised clarkes turnaround for months now so lets stop painting him out as some victim of mine

Ha! Hug it out fella. We'll get through it together x

Barton was our weak link tonight and lived up to his Mr Anonymous tag.
For a 6'3" player he doesn't seem to have the ability to head the ball, his tackling is non existent. He has a sweet boot when he has time on the ball but at this level those opportunities are rare.
I really think he needs to put more effort into his game if he is to mark his mark in the team.
Purely my opinion and I know that he has his supporters but I have yet to see him have a game of merit.

He's been mostly class this season imo, he is prone to the odd Elliot Ward moment though when playing at CB. If we are going to play out from the back with Clarke in central defence we have to accept the odd pass will be misplaced.

sorry mate it was a joke between me and hill

i agree he has been great this year but had a bad game tonight.

Murphy 9 - Made a few great saves, wasn't at fault for the goal.
Christie 6 - Looked okay, got forward well enough, obviously will get better.
Adams 5 - Got cut up by Porter (who was impressive it must be said). I was a little disappointed.
Clarke 6 - Decent enough but partly responsible for the goal.
Webster 6.5 - Thought he was okay, again I have to give credit to Smith from the Dons who played really well.
Thomas 5 - Perhaps it's because of the positive comments of those who see him regularly, but I thought he had a poor game. Sloppy passing and ball retention.
Barton 4 - I thought he was largely anonymous myself, saw him do very little of note. Not convinced about him.
Baker 7.5 - Tried to make stuff happen, worked hard. Continues to be a very important player at this level.
Moussa 5 - Not one of his best efforts.
Wilson 6 - Played okay, but their centre halves were excellent I thought.
L Clarke 6 - See Wilson.

All in all I didn't think it was a great performance, but the thing I was most impressed by was how easily we went from 1-0 down to 3-1 up despite not playing very well.

Webster still seems a little dodgy to me. Considering he's the most experienced he seems to take the ball away from Murphy quite a few times. Maybe they can't understand each others accents?

Jordan C - dreadful pass for their goal and gave the ball away a few times. Much improved on last season though.

Barton - Some wonderful cross-field balls but needs too much time on the ball. I like him, but Fleck is better.

Wimbledon played really well, better than some of the league one showers we have played. We are still very open when we get caught high up the pitch

Was never going to be Barton's game last night, they played a good pressing game and most opposition won't do that this season at the intensity Wimbledon did. Still think he's got the quality to play that role in a more open game. But Fleck's been a revelation this year, we were always going to miss him whoever came in.

We definitely missed Fleck in the middle. I think he helps Thomas when they play together. Thomas was poor, as was Barton. I can see now why Barton hasn't been getting in the team.

Good win, without playing at our best. I thought we stayed composed and never reverted to the old hoofball game that we used to adopt whenever we were under pressure. Barton was very average, Cyrus needed the game to regain his fitness, the Mousse was a bit lukewarm (rather than on fire), Murphy was class. Be good to get Billy Daniels back up and running again to give us more cover.

Tarquin me ole mate, I think that those wonderful cross-field were mainly caused by a gust of wind. Seem to remember a shot of his in the first half actually led to a throw in down by the corner flag.

Barton is a serious risk whenever he plays he is a liability and with a small squad withouit Fleck we are always overun in midfield when Barton plays,a seriously poor player
