World Cup is upon us and wanted to share my story.
I was lucky enough to be given a ticket for the World Cup Final 2006 in Germany - (Zidane sent off France - Italy).
I went with about 7 mates and we decided on the eve of the match that we would place a wager between us (we were pissed at the time) to see who could wear the weirdest outfit.
We all descended on a outdoor market/car-boot style set up in the town centre and went about trying to find what we could find.
One guy bought a Tartan Suit and another bought a lederhosen and several other bought wigs and rubber rings however I won this wager with my effort.
I managed to find an Rod Hull style Emu suit so slipped my legs into that and made my way out - just then I saw a Bright Red Fez so I added that to the ensemble.
Then to top it off I saw a broken damaged Tuba (thats the huge fuck-off brass trumpet style horn thingy) and that just topped everything off.
Walking to the Stadium was hilarious - riding an Emu with Fez and Tuba created a lot of interest and just about everyone wanted a photo (I will try and find one to post). Our tickets were right behind the dug-out so I'm thinking about worldwide exposure for my efforts!
As I approach the stadium the security staff pulled me over - "you cant take that trumpet in" - "its a Tuba" well it doesn't matter it cant come in.
I left the Tuba with security and made do with Emu & Fez.
Thats the best £20 bet Ive ever won and was a lot more interesting than the match which was one of the drabbest cup finals ever played!

Does anyone remember the Chelsea game at HR when they didnt have a kit and had to wear our away kit?

A mate of mine who was a Chelsea fan went wearing a Chelsea top and at half time I took my Sky Blue shirt off and gave it to him so he didn't feel left out!
Can you imagine a Premier League team doing that today?

Several World cups ago, a female work colleague came into work and I told her that her top looked the same as the Columbian goalkeeper's top - she never wore it again !!

Frankie Zola. The greatest player I’ve ever seen in a Coventry City shirt.

3 or 4 of them did and then took the tops off and stamped on the Cov badge. I have hated Chelsea ever since with pure Hate. I would love to see them go pop. Scum bag club with no Morals.

Whats noticeable in that video is fans invading the pitch after goals even then.

Shame they don’t do that anymore. Greasing it’d end up being filled with Towie types.

To think we signed him instead of Craig Burley.

Possibly Bill Glaziers testimonial which was against the England 66 team. It finish 6-6 and if I remember correctly Bill equalised with a last minute penalty. Sunderland fans were outraged as they thought the penalty was contrived.
