Is it just me or are these two a bit clueless...

Having presided over the club for quite some time surely they have to take responsibility for the series of failures that sees our club languishing in the lowest position we have been in living memory..

Having sacked their man moments into the new season after letting him assemble his own squad they are now taking their own sweet time appointing a replacement.. clearly they had no idea of a replacement before they acted... naive

FISHER is SISU's man - they put him in to run the club - it's his call on all this - that's what hedge funds do hire in the right guy to run it for them

At what stage therefore do we believe he and his mate Waggot need to go too..

I'm already there obviously... changes at the very top needed here not just the manager

They are probably the most clued up management team we have had in charge at the club for a long time, people just see them intertwined with SISU.

I am not sure that it is their fault/responsibility as to why we are in this position, maybe you should look back 10-15 years ago.

Thorn was no their man, he was appointed by Dulieu. It has been claimed that the players signed were identified by a variety of people, not just Thorn.

Dulieu went before the end of 2012 .. The continuation with Thorn for so long has to be down to these two & what of the summer dealings and farce of 3 games in and a sacking.. sorry but they ARE responsible for recent history

Agreed the rot was in years ago obviously but I am struggling to see exactly what this pair are contributing now and for the past year or more

Although it's all going to shit at the moment, I do feel the pair of them are clued up. Better than we've had for a couple of years anyway.

If we got 4 wins out of the next 6 league games, all this negative piffle would be forgotten. We will click but it may take 20 games and a new motivator at the helm but we will get a lot better.

I would not - personally - have got rid of Thorn after ast season; but I do understand why some would call for such.

But having not sacked him, they should have backed him. For at least 10 games.

Of three scenarios: sacking him after last season, giving him 10 games, or sacking him without replacement after 3 games; the latter is by some distance the worst scenario.

I don't think the player bonus system was well managed, I hate what they're overseeing with regards the rent 'negotiations' and I think they got the Thorn timing wrong. So whilst I can see they've bought some good to the table, they're getting some big calls very, very wrong

I don't understand why people are writing off the players brought in. The problem here is two-fold: 1) application and 2) familiarity with each other, not the quality of the players.

Spot on.. and what of the rent fiasco - asking for a 90% odd reduction when they have 50% already on the table, well it's just embarrassing, Fisher should be good at this sort of thing shouldn't he?

And what of the most important decision they are about to make now.. the new manager - who by the way has to work with the existing back-room guys also just in

Do we really trust them with that one?

It seems to me that backing thorn to bring in players would have meant they had more faith in him and not having a replacement 3 weeks later really suggests it was not in thier plans to get rid but an off the cuff decision. I think they are under strain in a lot of ways, stadium negotiaons are very important to the survival of the club. With regards to players bonuses i think it was handled very badly but they seem to have rescused the situation. i have to say that they needed to bring in players to the squad either way so the club with players there has to be more of a prospect to managers than if we had lost lads and got no replacments.

Lets just hope they get the manager descion correct. I just want someone to come in here and change the menatilty f the squad and us the fans. We are getting on the lads backs and its frustrating for them as well im sure. I still belive a few wins and we will begin to fly.

Waggott, as I understand it, is here to negotiate with, and sign up players identified as targets by others. He seems to have done a pretty good job. Fisher's job seems to be to trot out the Sisu party line in an effort to justify the actions of the spivs that own us. He is great at that, but I don't believe or trust him.

IF fisher and waggot were any good they would have made sure that we got norwood the right offer and the lad would have come he alone would have got this team playing better football spraying pass in the middle of the park

Fisher said in the CT that he has been working "night and day" to find the right new manager. First off, I am suspicious of any middle management claiming to work night and day. Second, how on earth can it take so long to interview a manager. They just need to look at each application that comes in, make a few enquiries in the profession, look at the track record and then arrange an interview. Why are they so goddam slow?

I think relegation ensured that Norwood didn't come here, not any mistake by Waggott.

We were under an embargo, don't forget, MMM. It's not for Waggott to dictate to the spivs at Sisu. He just has to do the best he can within the limits set. The embargo was pretty limiting! Even so, Collins wanted to come here, so Waggott must have convinced him that here was the place to come.

With the greatest of respect, the article states Collins spoke to Thorn upon a number of occasions and spoke well of the club. Indeed after hearing of Thorn's departure he stated on the radio - speaking within the context of being a City supporter - that he considered Thorn leaving 'a shame'. If he was convinced by anyone it was Thorn, not Waggott. And now he's gone in to bag 3 in 3 for Swindon.

Still, this isn't a Thorn debate. If Waggott was so restricted by SISU's actions as to limit his own ability to do his job - as per the story above - how can he pass judgement on another employee's ability to do so? Be that Thorn or any other manager?

And if he knows SISU's limiting effect on the operation of the club, he's a hypocrite for doing what he does.

And hypocrites will never be worthy of too much praise in my book

Yep they both clearly need to go,after all the club haven't sacked anybody for at least 10 days.
I hear the tea lady at Ryton performance has been quite dilatory of late so she should go as well.Then there is the 2 young girls who repairs pitchmarks at half time,how shoddy are they,more interested in checking their mobile phones,out the pair of them. Then there is the ball boys,how poor are they,even worse than Crewe's I'd wager.
