OK back to original topic, I've listened to what Waggot said.. and it was ..
2 to 3 'peripheral' players will be going to bring in players to strengthen the squad.
Only player mentioned for recruiting was a holding midfielder & a general reference to 'more pace'.
He expects one of Christie, Wilson, Leon Clarke to go by end of season & money used to restructure.
L. Clarke has contract to Jun 2015, Wilson recently signed 3 year deal, Christie not signing a deal, agent blamed for this.
30-25 scouts come to each 'home' game, includes likes of Fulham & Palace.
I'm not. I'm not saying any of it is ok. I can't stand capitalism. I hate the word profit.
I love community, I love unity. CCFC brought that, and it's gone - for now. I'm saying it is criminal that the local authority who claim to have the same interests, ie community and unity - are part to blame with intent for the removal of that.
ALLmost every point of this post is wrong with fans opi
Havent got a clue what you are talking about
I'm convinced I know who you are... :thinking about:
Football and politics don't mix do they.
You might know me, give me a clue.

Somehow Willie is arguing that cruel & expected capitalist tactics is OK and for the council not to give into them means they can't be forgiven, give me strength!

very key point.
that's like me accepting to rent your house for £1000 a month, then saying oh no I'll pay £250, and if you say no, i'll stay here rent free, and expect the house to be given to me
Not really, because you could afford to or need all five bedrooms in my detached house you'd go and find a more affordable 3 bed semi.

Not if you were self employed and the 3 bed semi was 35 miles away from all your customers.
But we all know that CCC cannot sell the freehold for less than fair market price and are statute barred from doing so. So they're limited as to what they can do in that regard.
Movement on rent or revenues without freeold are worthless to SISU, we agree on that.
So surely the only solution is for SISU to pay fair market price for the Ricoh?!?[/QUOTE]
Totally agreed.
My point is that, during the build up to what's happening CCC should have acted with more responsibility. They effectively loaded the gun for SISU to pull the trigger. SISU were always going to pull that trigger in order to get the Ricoh but the council had the power to at least load it with blanks.
Football and politics don't mix do they.
You might know me, give me a clue.
They are intertwined.
I'm sure I've worked with you on a CCFC project and you're not the person you're making out to be. You may have something to do with a certain social media page?
They didn't sign it, it was a pre-existing contract. Are you saying it was a good deal?
They had a choice--if they didn't like it they should have renegotiated it before buying CCFC. That would have been good business practice--Oops I forgot it was sisu conducting the business--no chance of good business practice there then.
Not really. They bought ccfc and all of it's existing contracts. Should they have renegotiated every contract ccfc had in place before buying the club?, utility bills, transport, academy at the Higgs, ict support, kit suppliers, etc?
I agree it should have been one of the first things they should have done when they took over, along with slashing an unaffordable wage bill, but I don't see how or why they would be renegotiating contracts prior to buying the club. ACL wouldn't even acknowledge Otium in the administration process because that's not where the contract was.

WHy is everyone suddenly getting their knickers in a twist over us selling players? Gillespie, Keane, Davenport, wallace, Danny Thomas, Kirkwood, Babb...the list is endless.
Yet they have also said they would rather let Chrisitie go for free rather than sell him. As he is more important to keep till the end if the season.
So are we expecting a ridiculous offer for one of these three?
What is ridiculous?
I'm not. I'm not saying any of it is ok. I can't stand capitalism. I hate the word profit.

You have customers coming to your house.....you're not running a 'massage parlour' are you?
The point is the house analogy doesn't work, neither does 'normal' business premises because if you couldn't afford it you would move somewhere you can afford. Football stadia are unique, there's only 1 in the city and only a handful in a 30-40 mile radius.

A ridiculous offer is anything above what they are worth.

A fair few are within the 40 mile radius. Look at Brum alone. But how many are in Coventry?.........like where we should be playing.

Unlikely, I have enough trouble giving it away, if I tried to charge I might as well become a monk.
Dennis Mortimer, MIck Ferguson, Stuart Pearce, Gary Thompson.
Is it?
Even a quid?
Surely that's just an offer?
Is a ridiculous offer not substantially more than what they are worth?
Otherwise how is it ridiculous?
We have signed some great players in the past as well
Dublin
Keane
Hartson
Huckerby
Mcallister
Babb
Gallagher
I would guess
Say Leon as one of the top scores in league one in contract maybe worth a million, so 1.4 would be ridiculous.
Wilson also a top scorer the age the potential. Worth 1.5 so 2 million would be ridiculous.
Christie attracting interest from prem and championship clubs.
Out of contract in the summer. Compo available
500-750k as ridiculous?
With football league status.
Brum, Villa, WBA, Walsall and Wolves. And within the 40 miles there are teams like Fester closer than Northampton.
And most of them are part of the reason we're in this crap now. We signed too many players we couldn't afford in wages we couldn't afford with money we didn't have.
So Sisu lied again ? they said they would fund the losses not the "Squad".. When there s nothing left to sell to survive what next ??

You are trying to convince me that hard headed people like sisu would buy a business and all of it's legally binding contracts without completing due diligence.A blind man on a galloping horse could see that paying £1.2m rent, and not
getting any of the match day revenues because previous owners had sold them off, would mean the Club was never going to be viable. If knowing these facts you still go ahead and buy then the buck stops solely with you and your own
incompetance.
Whichever way you try to spin it,sisu have made an almighty mess of running CCFC and are now frantically looking
for way's to cut their losses and scarper. The quicker the better.
Oh and otium did not exist when sisu bought CCFC.
