Very balanced lot there. Proper supporters with honest views. And only one WUM out of all of them.

Coventry are not a similar size club to Sheffield United more similar in size to maybe Bradford City the reason they have no swagger is because they are like a dog that's been kicked around for the last 50 year's.
They still regularly state on their forum they need to get out "this cack division".
They also have no real local or traditional rival of note that must be horrible for them nobody really cares about coventry City most people just feel sorry for them, not us obviously probably because we actually pay the rent on our stadium and play by the rules.

Don't disagree with any of that really.

1. I class Sheffield United as a bigger club, though I would say we are bigger than Bradford, though they got a decent attendance on Tuesday night and plenty of times last season so I think in that respect they better us (at the moment)
2. I have seen fans saying this division is shite and we are 'too big' for this league.
3. Nobody cares for us really; there's no reciprocation
4. Again telling the truth

Not sure why he is a WUM?

But don't the other Walsall fans pretty much say he is and disown him?

I think it's pretty obvious why he is. He obviously doesn't like us. That's fine. And then says how our supporters call this division cack - he's even quoted that, and I've never seen that! BUT, I digress... He says we still regularly state that on our forum. If no-one cares about us, what's he doing regularly checking our forum?

And mate, opinions. Some will class us as similar size. We went through a lot of the 90's above them. They went through a lot of the 00's above us. Just because you don't doesn't make him right.

Some of our fans may say we're too big for this league. But look at all the other clubs fans that come on here and say the same. Are they all wrong?

I have seen it, particulalry the first season that we are 'too big' in this league; admittedly not as much now. The official CCFC FB page still has some morons that post that.

Regarding a football club's size I have two questions:

1. How do you define a club's size?
2. Do you class CCFC a bigger club than Sheffield United?

My answer to 1) is as follows:

- History (i.e. trophy's won)
- Fanbase
- Years in the Top Flight
- Revenue

I'm sorry but Sheffield United trump us in all of those.

Shock. Club get relegated and say they're too big for a league they hadn't been in for 40-50 years! Come on. But yes, I agree, some on that fb group don't know what they're talking about.

The guys talking crap. End of. Got a chip on his shoulder about something.

And do we have to go through that goddamn argument every time someone says we're big or not?! It's personal opinion, not a set of categories. And I couldn't care less!

People have said this division is rubbish and we need to get out of it.....but that is reality. Any club worth its salt will want to be at least in the Championship.

While we are on the subject of reality; this is our level, we deserved the relegation and have been here a few seasons now. In fact we are lucky we aren't a division lower!

Walsall have usually bounced around between tier 2 and 3. In tier 3 you would always expect them to be top 8 and this year I would expect them to be top 6. Even when we were in the Premiership, if you drew them in the cup you knew they would give you a good game. Saturday's game is a big one and I think both sets of fans are looking forward to it. I have always had a lot of respect for Walsall fans. If we don't get something from it, that will be a big disappointment but not a disaster.

Nothing really said to get your nickers in a twist over by the clown on their forum, who is obviously a deluded awrightttteee matteeee child, who is bullied by his mates for supporting dog shite.

Out of all the midland clubs for banter/rivalry Walsall have never entered my vocabulary, a nothing club on the outskirts of Birmingham forever living in the shadows of their respective neighbors.

Shit club, shit home and away support set to be out sung by a proper away following in their shed ... again.

I hate these 'we are bigger better threads'. Let's just focus on our own team and show them that way. The boys are doing the talking on the pitch at present so hope this stays this way

Walsall manager, Dean Smith, is relishing the prospect of facing local rivals Coventry in Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at the Banks’s Stadium.

Smith’s Saddlers have made an impressive start to the 2015/16 campaign and are currently third in League One, having accumulated seven points from their opening three matches.

Tony Mowbray’s Coventry have also begun with a flourish and sit top, boasting the division’s only 100% winning record. With a large crowd expected for the Sky Blues’ visit, Smith is hoping to build on a run of three successive away victories with a positive result on home soil.

“It’s been a really good week for the football club,” said Smith. “I don’t think there have been too many times, certainly during my five years here, that we’ve won three away games in a week.

“But it’s important now that we get the performance right at home. In the first game of the season (against Oldham) we probably only got half an hour right. At the time, the system we were playing was probably in its infancy and the lads were just getting used to it.

“Saturday will be different; it’s a derby, Coventry will be bringing a lot of supporters and there’ll be a really good atmosphere with both teams having a decent start. Hopefully we can put in a good performance for our home fans.”

:D ....fuck sake
