If Walsh is available on a free, then assuming we can match his wage demands, we'd be mad not to sign him.
Like O'Hare, once under contract, ccfc will have a valuable asset, aswell as possessing his undeniable talent for the betterment of the team.
Why rush?
All the power is in his/his agents hands. The player will want to see exactly how he fits into his manager's plans whilst his agent will be looking to see what other options are out there.

A lot will depend if he wants the best pay day or wants to play and establish his career. As he's still young you would hope it's the later. If he plays well the short term monetary loss will be made up in his next contract. If he goes for the extra couple of grand but doesn't play his next contract will be a lot lower. Plenty of Premiership young players who end up down the leagues on less than 1/2 of what their first contract was.

I don’t think he should accept an offer from a lesser club because it’s easier to get in the team. It’s Bristol City a club who have plenty of young players playing for them not Real Madrid, if he’s good enough then he’ll play, if he’s not he’ll end up somewhere like here.
