Hoops boss not concerned about FA hearing
Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock admits he is enjoying a 'wonderful feeling' after seeing his side clinch promotion to the Premier League.
Rangers ran out 2-0 winners at Watford to ensure they will be playing their football in the top-flight next season, although they are still awaiting the outcome of next week's FA hearing into the transfer of Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.
Adel Taarabt, so often the man at the centre of things for the Hoops this term, and Tommy Smith were on target at Vicarage Road as they popped up with late goals to leave QPR as champions, as long as they do not get hit with a points deduction.
Warnock claims it is the highlight of his managerial career after seeing a dramatic turnaround during his time at Loftus Road.
"It's a wonderful feeling. I think it's the best job I've ever done, I've got other promotions but not in such a short space of time, in 13 months from battling relegation to winning the Championship,"
"Over the season the players have been magnificent. I can't fault any of them."
Decision
Warnock remains furious at reports claiming QPR face a 15-point deduction if found guilty on seven charges brought by the FA, with a hearing beginning on Tuesday and a decision expected on Friday, the day before the final matches of the Championship season.
"I just get on with winning games," he added. "When I looked at the coverage it destroyed us, the place was like a morgue.
"We're all guessing, we have to wait until Friday. I'm happy with what my barrister has told me.
"I don't fear anything, I was brought in to win promotion and that's what I've done.
"You can do without it as a manager but you've got to get on with it. I'll be glad when it's over and then I can talk about it."
Watford boss Malky Mackay remarked:
"They have been consistently the best team all season.
"But we joined in and tested them to the limit and matched them until 10 minutes from the end."
