Haven't lived in Cov for a 20+yrs so haven't seen much of the changes, but saw a walkabout vid of the town centre and the Godiva statue seemed to be missing. What happened?

Must have just been missed on the footage (seemed odd it would be moved / demolished). Thanks for answer

It was turned at some point. I can't remember when though. She used to be facing in a different direction.

I remember there being a park/green area with seating and the like before they built Cathedral Lanes.
Was it moved at this point?

It’s been moved a couple of times or reset of foundations . Always in Broadgate.

The statue was initially installed facing south, but was rotated to face west in 1989 during the construction of the Cathedral Lanes Shopping Centre.[1] A canopy was erected over the statue at the same time, which was removed in 2008.[2]
