Realistically where would they even play, you can't play championship games at the cbs in front of a few hundred. All the 'we just want to watch top class rugby' types would disappear. Doubt many of the old fans from London will still bother to travel for a new club in Coventry. Can't see CRFC being keen on assisting them. There's not anywhere for them to play is there?Eakin said Vaughan has told him that they hope Wasps will be playing in the championship next year and hope to play in Coventry as thats where the training ground is near. Still no fucking filter to what most Coventrians think of them or any though that we all ready have a rugby team in that division.
If where there was a time qherw something finally can go right for us , then surely its now

I understand that among the 167 Wasps employees who were made redundant today was chief executive Stephen Vaughan.

Wycombe fans view
Was the worst thing to happen to our club when they moved in. They diluted the identity of WWFC in Wycombe and ruined our pitch.
Never forgot how the local council used to fawn over them as well. They always seemed to be promoted as the No 1 sports club in Wycombe.
I think there are far more communities in this country that deserve our sympathy than a load of Mustard Cord wearing glory hunting band wagon jumpers. Im sure they can find another club/sport that they can attach themselves to.
I look forward to their fans' outrage over local business struggling. It'll be interesting to see what the list of creditors is, aside from HMRC, bondholders - what do they owe to local suppliers and what might the impact be on them in a very difficult environment?
"people are aware we have been on the market for a long time now"
Why didn't anybody buy then?
Yeah just saw him say that. How has the training ground caretaker been made redundant I thought the training ground is owned elsewhere?

So now that will be empty with nobody looking after it?
So when will we see some movement that matters to us? I’d assume the council have to decide sharpish what they’re doing, and there’ll be the wait and see who bids for what stuff.
Are we talking weeks or months here?
Statement regarding the future of CBS Arena - Arena Coventry Limited (ACL)
The company which owns the Coventry Building Society Arena is in negotiations with potential investors to take over the running of the complex and is hoping to conclude a deal in the next two weeks.
Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) is not included in the administration of Wasps Holdings Limited which was announced today, and has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, a move which will give two weeks to be able to secure new owners for the venue.
A spokesperson for ACL said: “The arena is a profitable standalone business with huge potential and therefore is attracting strong interest from a number of parties. We have filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators and we will be aiming to use this period to complete a deal with a venue operator.
“It would also allow the arena to continue to generate funds through the exhibition, conference and hotel business and would also mean the Rugby League World Cup game and Coventry City fixtures will go ahead as planned, which, we believe, is in everyone’s interest.
“The arena is very much a key economic driver for the region and we are hopeful that we can conclude a deal to ensure its future. Time is exceedingly tight and talks are continuing around the clock so we can reach a suitable deal.”
I will always remember someone on the old Gasroom highlighting a thread on their ‘Drunken Wasps’ forum, back when we were financially in the shit in the early 2010s, where a number of pests fans were revelling in our struggles and hoping we went bust so they could take over Adams Park.
The pests have spent decades taking advantage of distressed football clubs to support themselves, like a sporting parasite. I have no sympathy for their fanbase or them as a club
I reckon Ashley would be interested in ACLThe only bid we’ve actually heard of is NEC right?
