Can’t see sisu taking on the lease. It’s not sustainable. I don’t know where we go from here.
Does anyone remember Fisher talking about getting AEG(?) in to run the stadium if SISU ever got their hands on it? Someone out there will have a link, I'm sure...
I actually haven't given up all hope yet that the club might miraculously end up with the stadium, but hey, I'm a city fan, what else have we got?!
Don't lose heart Pete. We need you.
I'm still genuinely convinced we'll be in a better place for all of this, getting rid of the franchise rugby team is just an added bonus.
Indeed, dunno what the worry is.We’ve got a ten year lease though, more than sufficient time to build a new stadium !
at least he's not involved in any hugely important regeneration projects inthe city
Oops!
I wonder if we know any property developers connected to Wasps? Hmmmm, what about Derek Richardson?
Her lady garden? Never see Monty Don giving tips on this subject.
I did some digging. Its registered to a satellite address in London.
Under the name
MARCUS SIMON COOPER.
google shows MARCUS SIMON COOPER as a Marcus Cooper Group is an investment, development and property trading group.
The DOB on the ACL development and Marcuss company house profile match
It’s more what feel like factsSounds like this isn’t just your musings Pete?
They were pretty silly making all their players redundant thenNot over yet it seems. Shame.
think it’s more wishful thinking on your part mate. great wasps have gone but doesn’t make our situation any clearer if anything more messy
So we’re being bought by a billionaire consortium that tried to buy Chelsea… oh, I’ve just woken up! We’d never be so lucky unfortunately. It does seem like an extraordinary coincidence though!OK this is getting spooky now.
I looked on Wikipedia and it links him to a guy called Nick Candy who was part of a consortium who tried to buy Chelsea of Abramovich, it also says his company has stakes in Blippar and Crowdmix, those deals were facilitated by none other than this guy.

That much was obvious when people were popping metaphorical champagne corks on here yesterday. So premature. This is all very complex and many of the players involved in situations like this are secretive and treacherous. I'll have a nice drink if and when CCFC are in the hands of an owner we can trust, but I'm not holding my breath. Not over yet it seems. Shame.
You put it more succinctly than me LGSomeone is going to fuck us
If it does happen just remember who broke the story first. So we’re being bought by a billionaire consortium that tried to buy Chelsea… oh, I’ve just woken up! We’d never be so lucky unfortunately. It does seem like an extraordinary coincidence though!
Someone always does.Someone is going to fuck us
Have have I just let myself get excited by this....OK this is getting spooky now.

SISU have access to funds if the deal is right. There’s no hidden millions of pounds. I’d love to be proved wrong but if they can’t stump up money to relay the pitch I am in no doubt the lease or a new ground is not possible. I don’t get what if anything is possible
I don’t care about Wasps. But If joining forces with Wasps makes CCFC a better proposition for an investor then fine.
frankly I have always just wanted rid of SISU. I don’t care how we achieve that
And still with the team of Dave boddy Tynan scope and mark hornby and ticket office lady and a couple of work experience staff to maximise funds for the first team!!??if i was an investor i would look at bringing
CRFC to the CBS - will be at the same level as Wasps with local support and no baggage (could sell the Butts to help fund any deal)
Wasps netball - Rename them Coventry City netball - would be good for community links and get more girls involved with the club
and at that point we could up our game on the conference and events side - there is no reason we couldnt turn a profit
if buying the stadium we should buy it free of dilapidations - so if we pay £25m it is on the condition that it is in an as new condition, which is the duty of the freeholder to ensure
I wouldn’t. It’s all very tenuous link to tenuous links. I only posted it in jest.Have have I just let myself get excited by this....

SISU have access to funds if the deal is right.
The 250 year lease has a value and if SISU almost compartmentalise ACL / Newleaseco then things stack.
It’s the whole rent v mortgage argument. You can get a mortgage on a flat in Kenilworth Court even though it’s technically a lease.
SISU are letting another entity have the benefit of the rent that CCFC are paying currently; like paying a landlord who then uses your rent to pay their mortgage.
Compartmentalised SISU would benefit from rent from CCFC plus F&B plus conference income etc.
SISU have cards to play. One question is, would Wasps paying, say £500k per year rent be beneficial, or, are Wasps taking potential supporters away from CCFC.
Can’t see SISU standing shy right now.
Nah - leave cov rugby at butts park. Leave the pitch for football
