Wasps met Sisu last week, yet not a peep from the club since (1 Viewer)

Is that good news? Bad news? Or are they just focusing everything on trying to get their hands on the Higgs share?

Richardson says he met with Waggot a week ago and yet we've heard nothing from the club at all.

Really thought we would have had some statement or Fisherism.

It's probably neither good news nor bad news. And what is there for the club to come out and tell us? I imagine it was just a meet and greet to introduce themselves.

Surely they would have talked 'rent.' As it is such a big issue for Sisu and they have constantly banged on about revenue etc. endlessly for the past two years, I cannot believe for a second that, that wasn't the very first question on their lips to ask of Richardson.

Fisher is usually pretty quick with his little quips isn't he. We were only back at the Ricoh 2 days before he had to put a spanner in the works to remind us that they were pushing ahead with the building of a new stadium.

Put it this way, would have thought if they thought this was all very bad news for the club, they would have immediately come out and had a go at the council and ACL.

It's all too quiet and I don't believe it would have just been a meet and greet, not from what Richardson said anyway about Waggot possibly coming out of the meeting with a different view to his own, anyway.

I don't know Otis, we have a contract in place for the next 4 years, so the rent isn't an immediate concern for the club.

I think it would have been more a meet and greet and possible some light touch discussions around the plans beyond those 4 years.

I imagine that Eastwood has met with all the key tenants/stakeholders - casino, compass, etc

I'm still hoping they're trying to by Higgs share but can't see it being possible.

They're probably in talks with them to sell up our last remaining asset - Ryton. I hear that Wasps are looking for a new local training ground for the start of the 2015/16 season.

How much is Ryton worth?

Naughty Otis, we can't even agree on the value of the Ricoh or a formation for that matter!

It was their first meeting lads, you could hardly expect a deep and meaningful conversation about the future of CCFC. He probably introduced himself and reassured Waggot that things would continue as per the signed agreement with ACL, CCFC has not needed to comment as nothing has changed. Sisu are more focused on the JR at the moment and need that put to bed and or see the legal position their in as regards to the charity selling their shares.

But we know things can't just carry on as they did before. We need a better deal going forward.

Totally agree, but I have always thought the best scenario for agreeing a deal should be a percentage of the ticket price linked to bums on seats. The more that watch the more you pay linked to an agreement with a minimum and maximum per game, it would work the other way round as well in regards to the club earning from food and beverage sales.

I wouldn't expect an announcement even if a better deal was struct, I would suspect any increase in revenue would benefit our owners before it trickled down to our team. Unfair maybe, but that's how cynical they have made me.

Exactly. We are in this position because of the Council's crippling rent and SISUs inability to do anything (sensible) about it. Now, we'll be beholden to Wasps for the next quarter of millennia.

Waggotts first mission at any meeting with Derek Richardson will be to feather his own nest, he may need a job soon. Funny how our new ceo has said jack shit yet, any comments seem to be coming from our new chairman appointed to oversee our new stadium project !!

You seem to have a bit of an issue with Waggot don't you? What has he done to you?

In less than 4 years he has helped transform my club from middish table championship club to one just starting it's third season in division 3 and looking likely to becoming entrenched in the bottom 4. Apart from that nothing.
I could add more but will keep my powder dry on them just yet !

When he joined the club was in the relegation zone.

And with 6 matches to go crawled out of the bottom 3 for the first time in ages and just needed to add a striker to the squad to replace the one sold for £1.1million earlier, to give us a bit of humph for a final push against beatable teams apart from Southampton away, but didn't. And remember he was brought in to the club to help the then manager with any recruitment, check the news reports.

just thought i would have a little look at wasps forum to see if they are worried about us getting the other 50% and they seem to have a thread relating to them making money from us. interesting some of their comments, some of them think they're getting ticket money from our games......

"Does this mean, we are getting a full house of money from this? Seats/beers/pies? etc? [www.bbc.co.uk] " - jeez that game was weeks ago.

"So does this mean after being screwed over by our landlord for all those years we're really this eager to start screwing over our tenants? Has money spoiled us that quickly?"

"would we get the ticket sales entirely, or do we get rent for the year/per game and they take the ticket returns? I'm guessing a sell-out would bring ideal revenue"

The transfer and loan windows were then closed. Also out points per game ratio improved significantly after selling said striker.

Still lets not let facts get in your way.

lmao, they think they get ticket sales. Are they smoking crack?

They've linked a BBC article from our ticket sales for the Gillingham match and asked if they are getting our ticket money from us for that match, would they like all our ticket revenue from 2005 when we moved to the Ricoh as well. Thick twats
