...by vetoing CCFCs purchase of the Highs share.
It wouldn't be a great start would it? After all, they must have known that CCFC would have first refusal. (albeit through a nearly dead arm of the business) I hope that discussions are underway with Wasps re working in partnership, if not, and the veto is used, surely things will turn very sour very quickly.

SISU haven't the money to buy the Higgs shares even if they wanted to. Doesn't stop at the price of the shares other creditors of ccfc ltd will have to be paid I think, including HMRC

I,am not a fan of Rugby. I do however believe that our owners are an utter disgrace and the league should never have allowed that type of organisation
to own a football team.
The CCC have a duty to the taxpayers of Coventry to regenerate the north side of Coventry and sisu where not going to do that By selling to wasps
that building work will be done. And no I do not support franchising.

Edit - Fred I totally agree with your views on our owners, and that we would have no influence on the sale to Wasps, but I totally disagree with franchise sport like this, especially as its been effectively encouraged by a Council who were so rightfully upset when its City's football team left its boundary's.

Council leader Ann Lucas, said the Labour party insisted on three ‘deal-breakers’ before agreeing to back the move.

She said it must allow continued regeneration of the north east of the city, allow Coventry City FC to remain at the stadium and must not disadvantage the city’s existing rugby team - Coventry Rugby Club.

But she hadnt spoken to the rugby club, it's all going of her opinion of it will damage etc.

She also said it will bring income in to the city - clearly she does not know where the premier rugby clubs are. They will trundle up the M5 , M1 , M6 etc see the game and return - no reason to actually go in to Coventry as such

No idea if it is going be near the arena but apparently Wasps unveiled the plans for their new training ground at a ST holder Q&A and from the comments on their forum it's pretty impressive stuff. Big complex with indoor and outdoor pitches. Sure the plans will turn up online before too long.

There are zero ways to do this other than to sell a football ground to a random Rugby team?

How do places regenerate run-down areas without such an option?

Good point, you need to be careful about making these things public. With so many other teams wanting to build training facilities you never know who might try and get in before you.

I've just been browsing Wasps wed site & it makes me realise how Mickey Mouse the current CCFC operation is.

And by association the whole Football League operation.

It is like a company trying to get a Stadium, but in the meantime taking the stadium owners to court?

Couldn't make it up only at CCFC.

But honestly as was said on CWR today could be 10 years before they have a new ground, if they go down that route so we are genuinely fucked, especially if we stay in this poor league, God forbid If we get relegated.....
