Would be better if fans sung the whole song like at Wembley rather than clap until WLADITT
I think most do, it's just drowned out by the clapping. At Wembley the clappers were all quietly flag waving instead. What I'd really like, is if we sung it but saw lots of scarves held aloft as we sing, a bit like the Scousers do for YNWA.

That scarf idea is class I hope it catches on at some point
I might start tomorrow as lonely voice in the crowd and see if week on week others join. If I'm still doing it on my own in a few games then I'll probably give up.

I did get one of the limited edition WLADITT scarves from the club shop before one of the games, so perhaps I'll take that one and show it lyric side facing (hopefully the right way up!)

Taken to pointedly sitting there not clapping then standing up just before the singing bit #TheHeroWeNeed

So long as it’s in time with the song and not too slow, then clapping is fine.

I find the slow clapping during the EMC and Sakamoto songs much more annoying personally.

Good point.

There's thousands who still don't know the words despite hearing it every two weeks for the past few years.

I used to clap in cold weather when I had gloves on and it makes a quiet thudding noise so I now don’t clap when it’s cold. Waste of time. I will sing and hold a scarf up. I’m Spartacus.

My neighbour ( I am over at Silverstone) is a spurs season ticket holder, has a massive soft spot for Cov as does his regular travelling group. He has been with me several times this season on my spare season ticket and always said it was incredible to hear that noise, the best intro to a game he had heard.

I know two ladies who never had any interest in the club. They now attend games just to sing the song - then go to the casino to do some crafting. Mental.
