Defensively we've gone there today and done our jobs for almost the entire game but there is only so much defending you can do if you aren't really creating many chances

They've had 18 shots second half to our 2 and supporters are blaming the fact asante didn't take his chance, but why are we playing in such a way where we need to take our 1 chance in a half to get a result against a mid table side ?

We've been dominated largely today, we were dominated at Pompey, we were dominated against Cardiff first half and were helped by a dodgy red to get a point , we were tragically dull against millwall too .

We are currently 1 win in the last 5 and the fixtures aren't particularly easy coming up with all 5 teams in the top half of the table .

It's not good enough and I don't expect these top level coaches come cheap either

I can appreciate we are missing 2 big players , but we look wank it's a real tough watch

We haven’t got any better since Lampard was appointed, we just had a very fortunate run of fixtures. We’re so bad to watch at the moment.

The defence was the best part of the team today... Which is a concern!

Midfield is shocking without Sheaf. Eccles standard performance is 6/10. Torp is never a player in a million years. Would play Allen all day every day ahead of both.

The strikers look so poor even though we barely create anything. Not one of them can hold the ball up for a millisecond. Killed us second half today because they are incapable of controlling a football.

Angers me so much the money we have wasted assembling this shite.

Agree with this. Feed optimistic that a few buys and sales in January will solve the problem too.

But really all we needed to do was literally shut up shop from about the 85th but we looked so open still , bizarre

agree with this, I thought half way through the first half the performance reminded me of our first season back in the championship when we expected to struggle against good teams, and picked up the odd good win here and there

we’ve gone so far backwards in terms of performances it’s unbelievable, and some of the players are playing well below their level but there are deeper problems… today Norwich were there for the taking and we should’ve beaten them but I never expected us to win, even when we were still 1-0 up with 10 to go.

results are one thing, but the way we play currently is shocking, no identity, no aggression, nothing - honestly need seven or eight new players (starters) at least

I'd thought we'd lose and we did. It's the manner of it, it's always individuals that fuck us over and I'm hoping some of them are gone sooner rather than later. I feel like they've exposed themselves enough for us to all know who they are so listing names isn't required.

agreed that it’s the performances more than anything that are most concerning / depressing but @TomRad85 l’m not sure there’s an individual mistake today you can blame for the loss

other than perhaps Lats not being stronger in the corner, however 9 times out of 10 in that game that would’ve been a foul, and there’s still more to do to score

we were actually set up defensively ok for both goals, although if anything one of Eccles and Rudoni could’ve got in the way of the first but that’s clutching at straws

Nobody wants to buy poo footballers though - You can't force them out on loan either so surely the only option is to tell certain individuals that they will never feature for the club again and broker a deal for the remainder of their contracts?
It's a massive bite of the bullet not to say an almighty kick in the wallet, but we desperately need to move on and acquire personnel to help salvage our Championship status.

We are full of mentally weak players. There's probably talent in there somewhere.

If we hadn't spent £45m, it probably wouldn't be an issue.

It's not been good.

He will want bodies in (personally, I think he'll want more than 2, so let's see how that plays out). If he gets his players, then great, and view it then.

That's got to be the hope for the rest of the season.

12 points from 9 games is OK in isolation.

However 5 of those games have been against the bottom 4.

It's not great let's be honest.

I haven't known players find losing games so funny as these ones seem to. Collins laughing about letting a guy score 4, the laughing at Birmingham last season, players laughing after fucking up today too.

What is so funny to them about our situation?

I actually think, despite the capitulation at the end, that today was a cause for a bit more optimism than many of the previous games under Lampard.

We looked tougher, made it hard for a team with some good players and did create some decent opportunities.

It felt more like a Robins performance today.

After added time is unacceptable and reinforces my view (and many others) that we have to add a bit of nous and character to the side.

Lampard and the new coaches haven’t moved the needle with the majority of the squad (the only exception being EMC.) I don’t see a tactical upgrade and the basics, like our first touch and passing is fuckinghorrendous

I think we only created two chances really didn't we?

We looked good in the first half, but second half they were largely all over us.

I actually think West brom was the most promising performance under Lampard as we dominated a good side away.

The second half was very disappointing today, Norwich are no world beaters, they're midtable.

Dont disagree at all but what concerns me is that Lampard can only deliver a couple of “promising” performances.

We can try and make sense of it all and we all have the same conversation week in week out.

Collins, Binks, Joel, Dasilva, Kitching, Thomas, Eccles, Torp, Asante are all not good enough at the level we want to be at.

Sugar coat it all you want, blame this system or blame that error, it doesn't matter, our squad isn't good enough.

I'm not entirely sure if we stay up either, you fail to beat Cardiff and Millwall in really important season defining fixtures when we are where we are for me absolutely indicates we are league 1 level or just above.

Gutted and annoying that we made errors that let them in but it did feel like we had a plan today at least. Press from the front don't let them get going. Kitching, Thomas, Bidwell and MvE did very well we looked calm and confident bar a few scrambles. Took a wonder strike and a foul on an admittedly weak and slow Lati to snatch it away from us.

Dovin had a very good game.

Missing sparks up front with Wright and EMC.

Eccles was the only one giving it to the ref at the end of the game and he got pulled away.
No one else was bothered. Lampard was yards away and didn't get involved

He will be the main reason I don't think we're renewing ST's. The gutless little pricks on the pitch also, but there's no way we improve with that twat still around

Il put the £800 to better use
