Steve Evans, Karl Robinson, Mark Robbins -- oh that's 3 and it took me 2 seconds thought.
Dowie did kg82, I accept supporting cov is never easy, but dowie did give us some hope. All of us were jumping for joy at man u and blackburn and some of the league games. Save your face palm shite for something else !
Evans has only ever managed as high as League 2 and is in work meaning we would have to pay compensation to Crawley which we won't do.
Robinson is in charge of a team 4th in League 1. Their future outlook is currently better than ours (could replace us in the Championship next season). Wouldn't leave them + again compensation.
Robbins whilst out of work would still want a wage higher than Thorns. Also check his Wiki page where it says "By Christmas, Robins had taken them a full nine points clear of the relegation zone and on a run of eight games unbeaten. This was followed by a poor spell towards the end of the season, and Barnsley finished 18th in the table". How familiar does that sound!
Ian Dowie record at CovDowies tenure will always remembered for Manu and Blackburn, everyone forgets the other dross.
Even if we appointed Robbins right now we wouldn't be 9 points clear by Christmas so the poor end of season spell would just be exactly the same as our rest of season spell and we'd be down anyway. So worth-while...not.
What logical thought. So let's stick with Thorn the most useless manager in the division and do nothing. Oh and don't say get SISU out because they are the ONLY people who would consider this clueless individual as manager.
I will say Sisu out because with new owners we'd actually have the money the bring in new better players and a manager that isn't just scraped from the bottom of a barrel! The owners have a knock-on effect as to what happens everywhere else within the club and everywhere else in the club we are failing miserably!
Yes, we've had a long line of them since Butcher. If AT does get the chop - which I don't think he will - then we should appoint someone with experience and NOT Lee Carsley. Oh, I don't want AT to go, BTW.
Butcher and chop inthe same post ,if only you could have worked john mutton in there somewhere.

Calm down, it wasn't at you! It was aimed at the "I'm sick and tired of us not appointing experienced managers" and "Coleman and Boothroyd weren't" comments! People can say what they like but Adams, Dowie, Coleman and Boothroyd were all experienced managaers, they had managed before. Enough crap about "they were on their way down" etc etc - the truth is that all those managers bar Boothroyd were the fans choices.
Where on earth do you get that from?Adams, Dowie and Coleman were the fans choices? Adams was not the fans choice. The club told us he was the fans choice but that was simply not true. The CT had a poll and at the top of that poll by a clear margin was Gary Johnson as the fans choice. Adams was well down the list at something like 4th or 5th. The club told us he was the fans choice because they already had him lined up for the job. I know for a fact that Adams was coming to City games for 4 of 5 matches before Reid was sacked.
Though fans weren't opposed to Dowie and Coleman, they weren't exactly the fans choices either.
