I admitted I was wrong a few weeks ago as well speedie fair play to you.

Great post and much respect! I think some are still fighting SISU's corner because they haven't got the guts to admit they were wrong about them and what their actions would do to our club...no problems with those who genuinely believe SISU are the answer..those people do seem to be a lot less active on these boards atm!

I think it’s a bit harsh on Thorn to say he’s got a lot to answer for. He’s not a manager – he’s a scout. He’s a scout who stepped into fill Bothroyd’s shoes, and has been kept there because he’s the cheapest option for SISU. He hasn’t got the necessary grasp of tactics, nor formations to get the best from the threadbare squad he has. However, he’s doing his best and probably hopes he can – at some time – be replaced under new owners to that he can melt back within the club’s background and do the job he loves. Until that point, SISU have to face responsibility for being both cause and effect

I want Andy Thorn out. Regardless of the 'off field' nonsense he has had ample opportunity to do better than he has and we are in serious trouble. If he continues with his stance (even Bobby Gould trying to suggest we need width) he will take us to a point of no return.
There are plenty of managers out there. It will be extremely costly to SISU if we go down, more so than a new manager will cost.
An experienced man at the helm is what's needed at a time like this.
Thorn is one of the good guys who wears his heart on his sleeve. I sincrely hope he stays at the club and continues to scout for us and perhaps some added back office duties around the place.
As for Harrison? The record under his coaching speaks for itself. He should have gone before. He is a less priority at the moment.

So where is this fabled width going to come from? Thorn chose to play the diamond for two reasons. First because it was what thee players themselves said they were most comfortable, and second (and most importantly) - WE DON'T HAVE ANY WINGERS!
You have to play a system that fits the players you've got. We've seen what happens when you force players to play out of position.

I am not in favour of SISU but until someone shows me a credible alternative they are paying the bills nad stoping us from going into administration or worse. It is extremely nieve to expect them to walk away completely out of pocket as they are an investment company (the clue is the name). This means they want something out not just continually pumping something in. If someone were to offer SISU a return on their investment I am sure they would gladly relenquish control of the club but I don't see any mega rich arabs or russians queing to do that.

What I would like to see is for them to admit the current football director is a joke in that position and get him gone and to bring in people who knew about the game. The club needs direction and it just isn't getting that.

How any of you can weigh up an assistant manager's performance is beyond me.

He might be doing a great job for all you know! Is every single member of staff at CCFC to be judged on the manager's results (with a piss poor squad)?

Investment companies invest to get a return. Sometimes things work well and they make a profit. Sometimes things work badly and they make a loss.

SISU paid nothing for the shares in CCFC as they (rightly in my opinion) said that the shares had no value.

Since the acquisition they have invested (we are told) some £30m into the company. Unfortunately the outcome of their investment and all the related decisions, is that crowds have fallen significantly, our position in the Championship is under serious threat (to put it mildly) and in most people's opinion we have a weaker playing squad than when they arrived. On the finance side, we are told that losses have been reduced, but that relegation would be "a disaster". It is highly probable that by the end of May we will be in League 1 and that the resultant reduction in revenue will put our losses back to something like their previous level - presumably then resulting in a further round of cuts, an even weaker squad and perhaps even the prospect of League 2. Would anyone suggest that the shares are now worth more than when SISU bought them?

I don't get SISU's position. They seem reluctant to walk away from the club and so recognise their loss. I can see that on an emotional level, but it's "let's put off the evil day and hope something turns up". This is not what a hard-nosed investment company should be doing, as at the moment we're told that they are continuing to fund the club and so their losses are increasing. Either cut your losses and go, or come up with a serious plan to get the club/company out of its current spiral of decline. If you have a plan, then share it with your key stakeholders - the fans, sometimes also called customers.

My concern is that if there is a plan, it'll involve cashing in on all realiseable assets in January (Juke, Clingan, Cranie, the youngsters??) and then departing, leaving us in an even worse position than now.

I don't think they are funding the club anymore, they are selling assets to cover the losses, one day they'll find they have no more assets to sell.

It is interesting that they say "relegation would be a disaster" whilst apparently implementing a policy that will inevitably lead to relegation (buffon scratches head, having failed to work it out).

The worst scenario I can see is that they figure they can make money on a lower divison club (Lg1 or Lg2) in a big city as there will always be a guaranteed level of support, eventually someone will buy off them at a price they want, meanwhile they suck what they can out & let the club languish in the lower reaches.
