See my post above, it can feel like you've stalled but you will still be making progress.Have thought about that, I've been aiming around 1000 below my TDEE since August but the stalling has only happened recently.
Good going, keep it up.Really pleased with my progress lately. I've made a lifestyle change as well as a dietary change and it's been a steady loss since January. When I look really short term it appears I've stalled but looking at the monthly progress I'm still trending the right way. View attachment 35108View attachment 35109
What do you mean fuck all works long term? Diets?
Chill out fattyYeah. Read the paper I shared earlier. Long term very few weight management interventions of any sort stick. After a few years three quarters have put the weight back on.
That doesn’t mean don’t do it. But recognise if you manage to lose and keep weight off you’re very much in the minority. It’s why i wouldn’t be harsh on people trying whatever works for them and insisting on the “correct way”. You might be slightly less likely to rebound on a balanced diet, but chances are still high that you will rebound. Give people all the tools possible against what’s a very difficult problem to beat IMO.

That’s incredible, well done!Closing in on 6 stone lost now and just spent today playing my first 40 over game of the year. Batting for around 25 overs, sprinting around the field and so on.
Felt great and liberating to be able to play the game without feeling exhausted after one run.

My weight loss has slowed from almost 2.4 lbs a week to about 1-1.5 though. Cutting calories further seems unwise so what else should I be looking at?

Getting enough protein I think so, but not trained mostly from not knowing where to start with that.Without knowing specifics, probably not a lot. As your body loses mass you will have a lower metabolic rate. 1.5lbs per week is not to be sniffed at, still. Are you weight training and consuming enough protein from a variety of sources?
If you can afford it, I’d look at investing in a weekly session with a personal trainer and then work out by yourself alongside that a few times a week.Getting enough protein I think so, but not trained mostly from not knowing where to start with that.
I can’t really. Might simply just use sport for the time being. If you can afford it, I’d look at investing in a weekly session with a personal trainer and then work out by yourself alongside that a few times a week.

Just join a gym I say. I got 150 quid weights at home no longer being used. Wish I had joined gym from get goPutting some muscle mass on will definitely help. If you can get a barbell and some weights you can start something like StrongLifts 5x5, you’d need a bench and eventually a squat rack but for the first couple of months you should be fine as you start with an empty bar and add 2.5kg each session to get your form right, so it’s good for adding to your “gym” slowly over time.

Bottom of garden is better than on the baby boys room I guess!Depends on your lifestyle. I don’t have a car to myself and have kids to look after so easier to get to the end of the garden than a gym. Also I live in Bedworth and all the gyms look like a handlebar moustache or a steroid addiction are entry requirements.
