Lets put it another way, there is no way Mark Robins will allow Waggott or any other foister players on him, his resignation at Barnsley proves that, he will bring his own players in, so what role does Waggott now have at the club ?
Just a gut feeling but i have my doubts on Steve Waggott being here much longer just about all he said regarding the new manager what he can and can't do has not happened. I believe the refusal to give Martin Cranie a new contract was his, don't tell me playing for Barnsley with due respect was that much better than us despite us being relegated. and most of the 9 new players where his too, his interference i believe has cast a shadow over the players causing almost open resentment. Footballers hate outsiders getting involved in the inner sanctom of football.
I think yesterday we weren't that bad, McSheffrey, Daniels, Kilbane were our worst whilst Henderson was shaky, he'll turn good and I think Reckford could be a coup but we'll have to wait and see. Baker was decent, put in a few good tackle and got an assist (unlucky that McGoldrick was inches away) and Fleck looked good in places but first game back I weren't expecting the world.
Defence was pretty shaky, Clarke was decent however.
We really should've won and in short, we were unlucky.
Robins will do well, they've responded to him, or it appears so.
I was impressed with Robins' time of subs and subs he brought on.
