If that's so why was Adams drafted in so quickly to replace him if "he wasn't that bad at all"?
Maybe I am still feeling a buzz after Thursday, which reminds me cc4l, isn't that the sort of moment you wish you had witnessed live instead of on the box?
He wasn't that bad he was fine until his last 2 games.
I don't understand this Rb thing when Christie is in form he is great he has just his a bad patch. Clarke is also in a bad run of form. They are both young and will go through these fazes. It is unlucky that they are both out of form at the same time. Imo as soon as Christie is back to form the Rb pos will be fine.
Didn't he fall out with Robins? I remember him getting a right bollocking, coming off and never seen again?
Is it just me who thinks Jordan Clarke did well against Preston?

why would robins drop christie if he wasnt bad at all??????????????? same idiotic logic
robins didnt like that he ignored his requests to attack more in final few games, as someone above noted he did well up until final few games
p.s i did watch it live, it wasnt a repeat dumbass. nick this is what im onabout with people looking to start arguments, pure wumming.
your coming accross as clueless rob, next time you go to a game try actually concentrating on the green bit.

Yeah he dropped Christie but he didn't terminate his contract, like with Hussey, that's because Christie is a good player and Robins has faith he will get better. Reckford is different he isn't contracted to the club and if he didn't listen to the manager then that's his problem.. But if he had been a good player then would you not agree that (a) Robins wouldn't have needed to bring Adams at the same time and (b) potentially if Reckford was decent he may have enquired to Wolves about keeping him, much like we are trying with Adams?
I never said that you big girls blowse... Seriously, you don't like someone else's opinion so you try tiddle taddling and start insulting people?
Yes Green with two goal posts at either end's that the green your talking about?
Seriously mate get a grip..
Don't worry Nick I'll stop commenting on this thread to stop the trouble..
There you go again!
Try reading what Mark Robins, David McGoldrick, and Leon Clarke have ALL said......McD....The boss wants me to play ALONGSIDE Leon Clarke. MR said..Would be the best Strike Force and would frighten all clubs in this league....LC...I can't wait to play with McGoldrick, he will bring out the best in me.....Nuff said!!!
dont worry,im always right
We'll see if you're right this transfer and loan windows because MR knows if he needs a RB.
I don't think we NEED a RB, I think what we need is a LB cover (unless one of the kids is capable), or even CB cover, the best thing to do at this time, is to sign a versatile CB who can play RB and/or LB, that would be ideal, like Cranie, for example. With the little resources we have, we need to spend wisely and buying/loaning another RB isn't the best way to that.
Can you disagree with that?
i have already said id rather 2 starting quality fullbacks on eitherside rather than 2 LB's
so obviously i have disagreed
and you also said lets see whos right after thursday and look what happened? robins will get a RB if he can find one he wants,if not it doesnt mean he has not looked.
Robins has said many things since he has been here. He has said the team has quality throughout, he has said that cov aren't aone man band. Neither of these are true as can be seen by the way they played against Shrewsbury, carlisle, Spurs etc. Considering the hype surrounding him you would have thought he had turned cov into automatic promotion to the premier league!
It is notable however, that the first game for Robins, city played awfully, and still played awfully against them second time around. BOTH times without the benefit of DMc ! It is becoming more and more clear, that it was indeed DMc's ability yo provide telling balls, and ability to put the ball in the back of the net that has managed to raise city to its current position in the league. Indeed there are a bare minimum of 5 games where DMc was either the main or sole goalscorer - meaning 15 points can be directly put down to him. That means had BMc never arrived, Cov would be with a meagre 22 rather than 37 points - which would have COV deep in the relegation zone!
Had the concept of Robins turning the team around, then surely they would be able to play well without DMc. Yet the last few games not only have cov lost, but the way they have lost has been totally unacceptable.
And so he decides to put all his eggs in one basket and sign Leon Clarke. Hasn't scored in the league since 20 Nov, and only scored because the Ref missed the most glaringly obvious off-side that has been seen in a long while!
If the team had played well and lost maybe there would be a case these are just one-off bad performances, but they played as badly against carlisle this time as they did back when Robins joined.
There can be only one conclusion - the side have NOT progressed under Robins, and its only DMc that has put Cov into the falsely high position in the league!

i never said christie should start vs carlisle...please do not lie taylor
why would i care what a neutral thinks? i am hardly bias towards adams am i,he isnt even our player yet
i know injuries could mess up my plan,i noted that earlier(please read before replying) but i said id risk that for run in,with clarke as back up LB rather than have our 2 current rbs play till end of season-i will not repeat this point again
dongon-i agree msot people wouldnt be talking about it but i did after the preston game remember?
Did McG resign? No.
Did we try it v Shrewsbury? Yes. Did it work? No.
What formation did we use in November and December!? 4-5-1/4-4-1-1
As you said, "Nuff said".
McG might as well have resigned...he went to Ipswich on loan!
Did we try it against Shrewsbury? NO! 4-4-1-1....they were NOT played as twin strikers.
what formation in Nov/Dec.....couldn't give a fook m8...MR, McG, and LC, talked about playing as "Twin Strikers"
Once again you not only have to have the last word, but nobody elses opinions matter where you are concerned.

@ SBTaylor..
CBA to retype again...
McG might as well have resigned...he went to Ipswich on loan!(Why not stay on loan with us?)

This speaks volumes to me!...He wasn't interested in staying with us. He used us as a springboard to kick start his career where he could get more money with another team.....McG said..."I want to stay in the Midlands, I'm happy with this situation"...Then what does he do???....He fooks off to Ipswich at least a couple of hours further away!....Yeh! of course he didn't resign from Cov.:facepalm:
Yes you did, however I am rather hoping for a man Utd effect get another scorer play to our strengths (not defence)
If you score one we will score two. Far more fun.
Unfortunately highly unlikely
