Always loved Everybody's Talking. And Midnight CowboyJust going on from this, I actually bought his "Aerial Ballet" album in 1968, at least a year before he was even heard of over here. I bought it on the recommendation from a mate. The film, "Midnight Cowboy", with John Voight and Dustin Hoffman, was released in 1969 and featured the song, "Everybody's Talkin'", taken from "Aerial Ballet". It's still one of my all time favourite albums in my collection, even to this day, 52+ years later!
Been listening to more of her on YouTube and love her songs. A great talent and she's on Jools Holland show tonight on BBC2 along with Sleaford Mods. Also Kings of Leon on so worth a watch.
I like how Robert Fripp has that look that says " sorry about the missus, she's always like this after a few glasses of wine. " Great entertainment though.
I've been watching Toyah and Robert's "Sunday Lunch" videos since the start of lockdown. Met them both a couple of times when they go out for a coffee nearby.
Didnt know they lived in Malvern Houch ? What are they like ?I've been watching Toyah and Robert's "Sunday Lunch" videos since the start of lockdown. Met them both a couple of times when they go out for a coffee nearby.
Not Malvern BBR, but Pershore. It's about a 20 minute drive from us and me and the missus go there a lot. Nice shops etc. As for Toyah and Robert, I know their address which is in the town centre, but I obviously can't give it out though. They are a really nice couple. Really chatty. I like Toyah anyway, but as a big King Crimson fan, it's great to see Robert about.Didnt know they lived in Malvern Houch ? What are they like ?
What are the chains for ?
I recall a programme on the telly a few years back and Toyah was living near a river, so that must be the one that runs through Worcester, the Severn ?Not Malvern BBR, but Pershore. Correct! It runs past the bottom of their rather long garden!I recall a programme on the telly a few years back and Toyah was living near a river, so that must be the one that runs through Worcester, the Severn ?
The last words she sings are "I don't wanna break these chains.." so I guess that's why they're hanging there. Other than that, they're as daft as a brush! What are the chains for ?
They don't take themselves too seriously and lighten up these strange times. He's a rock legend, and she's a fit looking woman, fair play to them. Lucky bastard !The last words she sings are "I don't wanna break these chains.." so I guess that's why they're hanging there. Other than that, they're as daft as a brush!
